Road Side Rose Trading

This store is tucked away in Slackerville and it took us a minute to find it (hint) it is right next to the record store (they share the same parking lot). There are other stores back there too! It’s a small little store packed with tons of eclectic goodness. If you look at jewelry as art and love the fact that you can get hand made pieces and jewelry concepts attached to a good reasonable price then this store is for you. There are a few items in there that they will have several of but there are more items that are truly one of a kind. A Triquetra dream catcher c’mon if that isn’t an awesome concept (and it looked really awesome too) then I don’t know what will get your blood jumping! Not to mention different crystals, bracelets, necklaces, charms and some clothes. The owner is a such a friendly, kind, pleasant woman who is helpful and welcoming to everyone coming in the store. Her four legged friend Pumpkin is the same but hey I’m a dog lover anyways! They definitely have my business!

Dig this place. Great vibe in there and she has very cool clothes and jewelry.

On a per-​square-​inch basis, easily one of the best shops in South Austin. Riley’s managed to pack wheelbarrows of neat, eclectic items into a store about the size of a large walk-​in closet in the ‘burbs. It’s true that finding the store is a bit of a challenge, but it’s definitely worth it!

Awesome place! Cool and unique jewelry from around the world, artifacts, trinkets, etc. very friendly too!

Riley’s little corner of old Slackerville is filled with magic from around the globe. (For those seeking direction, it was once Happiness, a gardening spot – just behind Amelia’s, diagonally across from End of an Ear). I finally popped in here on my birthday and instantly found myself the perfect gift – a hand carved swallow made from bone, strung on chain (to match my tattoos and work as a very lovely totem necklace). She’s got whimsical mirrors for your trees and all manner of things to wear. It’s worth popping in – for a gift for yourself or someone else. And the proprietress is delightful!

This store is fabulous! Artsy and eclectic while still having items that are beautiful for every day use! Whether it’s the clothes or the jewelry you really can’t go wrong shopping from here!
While it may be a little hard to find (Behind Amelia’s and End of an Ear on the right of the parking lot) it is by far one of my favorite hidden Austin gems. If you have never been here before I would say it is DEFINITELY worth a trip!
