Rocket Fizz

I was excited to see a candy shop in our neighborhood. I love SoCo just don’t want to have to schlep down there for candy if I can avoid it.
Well, the shop wasn’t open at its scheduled time (10 am) so that will get you a 1 star rating. It’s still not open! So Bee Caves coffee got my business since it was a chilly day and we were waiting around and now we will go to Big Top!

This place was a HUGE disappointment. I read about the different sodas and thought they were a soda shop. Once I got to the building I realized my error. What a downer. The candy selection is mostly taffy with a few other choices. The staff didn’t acknowledge me during my perusal through the store. I found that odd. It’s not that big of a store.

Place is really cool… Love the old concert posters and tin signs… and hey they have Candy Cigs… How awesome is that… talking about a gateway habit Im glad I didnt pick up… Also a wide variety of candy that just isnt sold in you local retail joints. Also digging the rubber animal masks… very cool. cant wait to bring my granddaughter back to pick up a few treats.

Really kool! Candy And Soda shop. If your a Sugar Freak, you gotta check this place out. Something for everyone at Rocket Fizz.

This is a great little place with all sorts of treats. They have refrigerated drinks which makes it a great spot to stop within the Domain when walking around. The have a very good selection of candy and other assorted treats that are a lot of fun. The staff is friendly and I have been greeted upon entering the store on each visit.

Over 350 different types of soda and over a 100 different flavors of taffy, what more could you ask for?
Every time I am in the store, everyone who is working is extremely helpful and outgoing.
My 4 yr old son loves the store too, he’s like a kid in a candy store! To be honest I don’t know who likes it more, me or him???

HOLY SODAS AND TAFFY!
I love this so much. The love of my life and I went here yesterday, in the romantic rain, and had a blast.
This is a fun, nostalgic place. The man working there was amazing!
We got the larger bag of taffy… you fill up the bag, they don’t weigh it, and there you go!
THE FLAVORS of the taffy and softness were incredible! The intense cinammon, cupcake, blueberry muffin, butter popcorn, and all other 30+ flavors of the taffies we tried were delicious!!! I can’t wait to return here.
Check this out in the Domain! You will be reminded of your childhood and glad that you did.

What an amazing and fun store!
It’s in an ideal spot in the Domain which is a super nice outdoor mall development.
My friend and I stopped in right before closing at 9 last night.
The owner was there and told us to take our time and have fun looking around.
They have EVERYTHING when it comes to candy, chocolate, gag gifts, souvenirs and even super hero cut outs and fun quote signs.
Green tea kit kats… awesomeness. they have Japanese candies, hello kitty stuff, energy drinks, root beer and fun sodas.
I bought so much and wanted more.
Things like bacon chocolate, emergency chocolate, fun dip, Japanese gummies, spicy chocolate, bacon olive oil!!!
The store has tons of candies that you can bag up and fun barrels of other stuff.
The owner let me take pictures and even put on fun masks to make us laugh.
Take your kids here to keep them happy. Buy sweets for your boyfriend or girlfriend or just satisfy your own sweet tooth.
You will have fun picking out stuff and make sure to chat with the staff. Super helpful and nice.
Can’t wait to try everything else I bought.

Despite being a candy store, my first experience in this shop was remarkably sad. This is mostly due to the very poor customer service they had. Their products all seemed fun if not a bit pricey, but I had to pry the sole person working there away from stacking some type of candy to even pay. She had a horribly monotonous voice, and looked like she was about to fall asleep. She lazily chucked my debit card back at me before going back to not interacting with anyone without even so much as a have a good day. Maybe she would be more suited to working in a morgue. I know I won’t be going back there again, and would recommend you refrain from you and your children from doing so too.

Fun! Fun! Fun! I literally feel like a kid every time I visit. So much to look at, great gifts and awesome staff! If you haven’t been… go!

My daughter (4 yrs old) loved this store! Being a health coach, I struggled a bit with the idea of taking her into a candy store but they have other fun stuff like vintage toys & posters. The staff was very helpful in finding some gluten & dairy free options for my daughter to choose from. I found some sugar free Godiva chocolate for me!

I was in on the weekend and both Anna and Elsa from Disney’s Frozen were there in person! It was a great experience for the kids followed by an unmatched selection of candy, soda, and novelties. Love this place!

So I decided to give them another shot based on the owner’s acknowledgement of my complaint and willing to address with the employee. If this place wasn’t amazing from an assortment standpoint (I am a soda/​candy junkie) I would have NEVER given them a second shot…
Bottom line, they have sooooo much assortment, it’s mind boggling. Plan on spending a lot of time in this store, and having to make up your mind with such an amazing selection. I would up buying 18 bottles of soda, but held off on the candy this time around
Bottom line — Great place with assortment. I was a bit confused on their ‘punch card system’ as I bought 18 bottles of soda, and was told the ‘discount’ for a 6 pack was better than getting a punch card punched to earn 3 free bottles. I didn’t follow the logic, but whatever. they’ll have time to work out the kinks.

I sure wish I would have thought of this idea. Rocket Fizz is an awesome store with great merchandise and great people. Now I can find all my old favorites without the risks of ebay. Plus, my daughter loves to peruse all the cool stuff they have. Who would have thought that nostalgic products would be cool again? Thank you for bringing back all these great products. I would recommend Rocket Fizz to everyone out there — go see it, you will be glad you did.

Absolutely love this shop. If you’re looking for a unique gift this is the place to go. I went in to buy candy (best taffy ever) but found John Wayne memorabilia that I just couldn’t pass up. This shop has everything that you could never thing of.

I visited Rocket Fizz in the Domain today for the first time and was so impressed!
They have a HUGE selection of everything I never knew I wanted, including an extensive line of hysterically unique Rocket Fizz brand sodas. I bought a bunch of amazing Christmas presents here and will definitely back for birthdays and office parties. Also, the staff was helpful and sweet (I got not one, but two compliments on my sweater!).
Definitely a great spot to find one-​of-​a-​kind gifts for kids and adults alike. Happy shopping!

I’m so in love!!!
This isn’t Austin’s only candy shop, but this one is by far my favorite. The candy is reasonably priced and there’s a huge selection. I talked to the owner a bit on the day I was in there and he was very nice and knowledgeable. You can tell that he opened this shop out of love. Even better, it was hard to determine who was the owner, as the employee at the register had the same shared love of the store and it’s contents.
Go here for a soda while you’re shopping. They have seemingly hundreds of sodas — some from your youth and some that are just insane sounding!

What a cool find! They had all the candies from my childhood, the stuff that my parents loved, and a bunch of new stuff too (bacon suckers?).The green tea kit-​kats (recommended by the super nice staff) were delicious and I already need more. I’ll definitely be back for stocking stuffers for Christmas!

I thought this place was pretty cool and I am a Domain Hater. They had several unique varieties of coke (soda, pop, fizzy water). The also had speciality type candies. It is a little boutique like and therefore everything is marked up to prices a little higher than I feel like they should be.
Along the walls they had several types of salt water taffy in bulk bins. Many flavors way more than I can remember. Man were different and delicious. Some that I can recall were cinnamon roll, candy corn, spearmint, and hot chocolate along with more traditional salt water taffy flavors.
Pretty cool little spot, I am not sure if stock rotates quickly as this was my first visit. I will definitely be back to try out some of the sodas.
It would have been cool if the drinks were organized in some sort of way by region or by sweetness or something it appeared to have no rhyme or reasoning.
