Last few times I have called or shown up at dealer 2 – 4 service writers have been present and would speak with customers… a big improvement! Also hasn’t taken weeks to get oil service, another improvement.

I bought a Porsche several years ago from these guys and the customer service has always been pretty dreadful… and I never felt they were completely honest with their pricing. Just to give one example of the several poor experiences I’ve had, I took my car in for service after I saw it had a nail in one of the tires. I had paid for tire insurance with them and the guy at the dealership said ‘your car already has a flat tire. You just got tire insurance. Nice try”. He actually said ‘nice try’. Granted that was several years ago, but that has always bothered me. They eventually fixed my tire (because I had the insurance), but it was just pretty indicative of my experience. I recently got a quote from them to buy my Cayman and the price they quoted was not just low, but offensively low. He started by saying, ‘I know this is going to sound really low’. Oye. I’ve had much better experience with the Porsche dealership in San Antonio.

Similar experience with service department as most everyone else. Service manager Tim is a joke. He has every excuse in the book. Always backed up. Three weeks out for an appointment. Oil changes take 3 days. By far, THE WORST LOANER CARS IN THE BUSINESS… no excuses for that. This place sucks. I never had a car that I couldn’t wait for the warranty to expire until I owned a 911 in Austin.

I Just purchased a Porsche Cayman S from this dealership and the whole experience was great. The salesperson, Brendan, was fantastic from the time I inquired until the time I drove off the lot. I live in Houston and went to all three Porsche dealerships in the Houston area and none of them came close to the inventory selection and customer service Porsche Central Austin provides. I decided to make the drive to Austin and purchase my car here because of how much better of an experience this dealership provides than the awful and standoffish approach the dealerships in Houston provided. Brendan was very patient and worked hard to get the sale done, his follow up was prompt and he was able to answer all the questions I needed. I hope to buy more cars from this dealership in the future.

Sorry to say still in shock with such poor service since I been a customer since 2002. I will not return after Tim fibbed to me over the phone after calling him 3 times to make sure my car will be ready for an oil change and said it was ready… was NOT even ready delivered my car to me with dog hair all over it never fixed the loose piece behind the driver seat after having my car three days for an oil change and updates then the bill 288 for oil change and wanted to add 1100 on a car with 5400 hundred miles 2014 panorama??? I told them just the oil change is good for now not interested in paying 1100 on a car that hasn’t been driven that much. Bad business and sad unmanicured staff.
I will not return !! They lost me as a customer. The service manager said he will pay for my car to be cleaned but he needs a receipt. with was a good will gesture after complaining. Which was only 3 times in 14 years!

We bought our first 911 yesterday evening and it was a great experience. Kerri Kirby is a dream to work with and really knows her stuff. I loved how she patiently explained everything about our car to us «newbies» and welcomed us to the Porsche family. She really did make us feel great about our decision to buy this beauty! Roger Beasley Porsche is the place to go!

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO TO THE PORSCHE DEALERSHIP IN SAN ANTONIO. The service department at Roger Beasley Porsche is TERRIBLE. I made an appointment 3 weeks in advance only to be called the day of to be told that I can’t bring it in because they are full. When I asked when I could bring it in I was told «I don’t know. We will call you back». Not only did I not get called back, I ended up having to call 3 different times because the guy I was supposed to talk to wasn’t in. When I finally got my car in for service I received a POS Subaru Outback for a loaner car. Why is a Porsche dealership buying Subaru’s to give out as loaners??? This dealership is a joke.

Sadly, despite the fact that Roger Beasley’s name is plastered on seemingly half of the automotive businesses in town, I don’t think he actually cares about making his customers feel welcome or appreciated at his dealerships.
Another reviewer discussed how Martijn in used car sales is very much less than helpful and unwilling to allow test drives. I had the same experience. He told me that they needed to find ‘the right car’ for me before I could take a test drive, even though I explained to him I had never driven ANY Porsche before. How would I know which was the right one without the chance to at least try one out? In any case, I ended up buying my Porsche elsewhere.
I’m also less than pleased with the service department. They are currently understaffed and it takes almost a full week just for them to get started on your car after you drop it off. That’s just insane. You can’t even make the appointment and wait until they’re ready to take the car in; you have to leave it there the whole time until they get to it and do the work.
At least John in service is friendly and helpful enough. I find Tim to be rather brusque and entirely lacking in personality or friendliness of any sort. When I took my car in shortly after purchasing it to have my state inspecion done, I told him I had never been in before for service and that I had just purchased my car and he couldn’t even be bothered to introduce himself. I find that completely unacceptable in someone whose entire job is customer service.
I also had to work with the parts department on a couple of things and they seemed a bit disorganized and their area is very cluttered, but they did get the parts that I needed in reasonably quickly. I just wish there were a better Porsche dealership in a great town like Austin!

I bought a Porsche 911 at another dealer in another city last night. On my way back to Dallas today, I had warning lights pop up on my dash. The issue was potentially bad enough that I knew I needed to stop and have it addressed. I was passing thru Austin and, as fate would have it, when I Googled «Porsche Austin» on my iPhone I found that I was sitting only 4 miles away from Roger Beasly Porsche.
I pulled up at the service garage unannounced and saw they had a ton of cars there and everyone was really busy. A couple service advisers (one was John… sorry I missed the other) came right over and I told them my situation. They explained they were very backed up but would try to help and get me back on the road. I went to the (very accommodating) waiting room, expecting a 2 – 3 hour wait.
Instead, 40 minutes later the mechanic who had done the work came in and clearly explained everything to me. They had gotten me in and got everything corrected that fast… and when I went to pay, the total cost was an extremely reasonable 73 bucks.
I had just bought my car from someone else, and I don’t even live in Austin so there was no hope of swinging my service business over. These guys just bent over backward to help me because they are good guys and obviously interested in taking care of a customer. I was duly impressed and felt compelled to write this review.

A rinky-​dink operation. Service department stinks. Purchase a $ 100,000 sportscar and you end up dealing with Goober Pyle. They seem to place low priority on service. I would not own a Porsche in the Austin/​San Antonio area.
I bought my 911 in Scottsdale which has a high quality service department. Austin is an absolute joke in comparison. Even if you are a Porsche lover, stay away from this dealership.

Stopped in for a very inexpensive part that is available only at dealer. Parts D was as good or better than all the other high end dealerships in Austin I have been to… Mercedes, BMW, and Lexus. I am glad because this is the only Porsche dealer in town… next closest is in San Antonio.

Wow! What a disappointing experience today. We walked around the lot a bit… no one came out to help us. We went inside and got a half-​hearted greeting. To be honest, we do not probably look like the typical Porsche customer, but sales people should not judge based on looks and the car the customer drives to the dealership. Personally, I hope my husband goes with the Mercedes, but if he does choose the Porsche, I want him to buy it at the dealer in San Antonio. Beau the sale manager, acted like he was doing us a favor to even speak to us.

Although my initial buying experience seemed satisfactory, the events that followed months after have made me regret becoming a customer of Roger Beasley Porsche Austin.
As the buyer of a 2007 Porsche 911s, I was given a decent deal on my trade-​in. But months later, the car suffered a failure from its parking brake system, causing the car to roll back into another vehicle while unattended. This left damage to the body and brakes, among other parts.
Thinking I could trust the dealership, I had the car towed to its service department where it was disassembled and examined.
Later on, I was quoted a bill in excess of $ 5,000. This included unnecessary repairs and the replacement of tires I did not want or need.
When I consulted the used car manager of the situation, he basically laughed in my face and asked if I wanted to make a deal on a different vehicle.
Once I decided to have the car towed to another shop, I was then contacted by a service adviser who wanted to me to pay for their time to disassemble the vehicle. He gave me a range of costs, and eventually asked if I could come up with a few hundred dollars. I told him I would not pay anything without a receipt or invoice.
Once the car arrived at another shop, I was told by my new mechanic that Roger Beasley Porsche did not include all of the parts they removed from my vehicle and did a sloppy job reassembling the parts they did include.
Not only that, but my new mechanic was able to do the proper repairs for less than half of what Roger Beasley Porsche had quoted me.
When I was later contacted again by the service department manager, I was issued an apology and told I did not owe any other charges. I was also told I would be contacted by Roger Beasley, which never happened.
If you are thinking about purchasing a vehicle from this dealership, consider making the trip to Houston or Dallas. It might be worth the drive since dealerships there are more reputable. While a salesman at Roger Beasley Porsche had boasted about how many cars they sell, the dealership is located in one of the roughest parts of Austin.
If you are going to purchase a used vehicle from this dealership, have it checked out by a third party. It’s evident they don’t inspect these vehicles as well as they claim.

If you’re brown, don’t expect the lady working here to be friendly. Instead, expect a rushed, rude, and presumptuous «you aren’t going to buy anything» attitude when you walk through the door.
Definitely expect to be looked at like you can’t possibly afford a Porsche. If there is a white person waiting after you, then you’re really screwed. Your test drive will be limited to 5 minutes so she can move on to more important customers, who can actually afford to purchase.
Lame and judgmental service. They will certainly not be earning my business.

Bought a used Cayenne from Karrie Kirby and the experience was fantastic! Auto dealers don’t always have the best of reputations but this dealership actually does treat their customers like a «king.» Having bought over 30 vehicles in my lifetime I think I’m a pretty good judge in this area and it was great to see them at the top of their game. If you are looking for a used Porsche, contact Karrie. She is a great person & a real professional!

It’s quite a few years since i bought a Porsche, but since I’ve purchased three from these guys at different times I think I can speak intelligently about them. I’ve dealt with Beau Rice there several times, and he is an awesome guy. If this review were based solely on sales, it would be a 5-​star review. Honest, no-​pressure dealings with a sincere effort to help me in every way. The service department was good as well, and same with parts (not perfect, but good). I have other priorities in life right now, so I’m out of the Porsche market (Boo). But if and when I do decide to get another Porsche, I’m going to Roger Beasley.

I’ll second another recommendation for Karrie Kirby. I recently went into the dealership to look at an ’08 CPO Carrera S that was listed on their site, and was directed to Karrie since she handles their Internet sales. Very friendly, very knowledgeable, she made the whole experience quick, easy, and fun. Every time I’ve been in there, everyone has been great, and I’ve really been happy with the whole experience.

They have been trying to make up for their mistake here and there with small details which is nice of them. Customer service has improved a lot… I really enjoy stopping by these days!

The sales staff are nice and friendly, and buying a car from them was easy enough. My problem, however, is with the service department. I’d give the service department a 1 star review. Almost every time I take my car there with an appointment that I’ve made sometimes weeks in advance I find that they won’t even get to my car for days… not like 2 days, but sometimes 5 days. It may just sit there for an entire week before they can get around to something simple like an oil change. What’s the point of an appointment?
Also, Tim, the service manager has the personality of a bag of lettuce. Almost every time I’ve gone in there and come thru the door, he walks right past me without saying a word or acknowledging my existence as he goes outside to do the paperwork on my car. Most of the times I ask him a question the answer is in the form of a grunt. I rarely ever get an answer to any question from him no matter how simple. How can a luxury car dealership employ someone like this? I hate taking my car there for service because I can’t stand dealing with him. Even calling to make my useless appointment is terrifying because I don’t know what kind of mood he’ll be in.
Whenever they do take my car, I never get follow up calls from anyone about its status. Sometimes Tim will tell me that I’ll get my car back on Thursday, but Thursday comes and goes with no call. By Tuesday I’ll give in and call them to find that they still haven’t even gotten to my car. This is what I put up with *every* time I take my car there. It’s not like this has happened once or twice. HORRIBLE customer service in the «service» department.

Let me start by stating the obvious. This is the only Porsche dealership in Austin. However, I am noticing an effort to step up their game. The newly remodeled dealership looks fantastic, and I can honestly say that every time I’ve been here, I’ve been treated the way you’d expect someone who is considering purchasing a $ 150,000 car should be treated — even though there’s no way I can afford a $ 150,000 Porsche.
The staff remembers who I am, and they make a point to greet me when I walk in the door. They’ve been treating me this way for years, even when I was just coming in to look at the pretty cars and had no intention of buying. I can honestly say that the general manager and his manager really went to bat for me over some questionable warranty issues that I had. It was ultimately not covered, but that is not a fault of the dealership by a long shot — they did everything they could, which is far more than I can say for some other dealerships in town.
I also like the no pressure sales approach here. I still come in and look at the cars, and while I don’t lack for assistance if I need it, no one is hovering over me trying to close the sale. It’s very much an attitude of «when you’re ready to buy, we’ll be here. If you have some questions, we’ll answer them. If you just want to look, we can understand that too.» That’s exactly the kind of sales experience I want. I also like that the salespeople know their product as well as I do — that’s pretty rare.
I hold back one star only because on the service side, you have to be a little careful. Upscale cars come with upscale maintenance and upscale maintenance costs, but if you aren’t very specific about the work you want done, you can come back to a very frightening repair bill. I understand for the guy bringing his Porsche GT in, that’s not an issue, but some of us Porsche owners are a little more price conscious. But they always do a top notch job and will do exactly what you ask. They also aren’t afraid of modified or tracked automobiles and definitely don’t discourage it – I know of more than a few dealerships who try to void entire warranties and decline service the second they hear of track use or spot any kind of modification.
