Great neighborhood pool, it’s free, it’s big, and it isn’t super crowded which are all wins in my book. The only thing it needs is more grassy area to lay out… but I still think it’s a nice little summer hangout. There are often families outside of the pool area grilling and having little gatherings. Go try it out already.

Rosewood park is a little hidden gem! We moved about ½ mile north of this location last November and didn’t even realize it’s existence until a few weeks ago. Initially I was a bit reticent thinking that it would be dirty and full of kids, but no! It’s clean, the lifeguards are friendly, it’s never crowded and it’s HUGE. One giant pool so even when people do show up you’re not running into them like you do at Deep Eddy. Water is warmer then you find at Deep Eddy or Barton Springs, but unfortunately the pool is now closed for the season. It’s only open during the summer months.

Great place to walk dogs, throw a ball or just hang out. I haven’t been to the pool but the park itself is nice.

PROS: the pool is BIG, the water is WARM, and it’s FREE. Usually not too crowded. Big park with a running trail on the other side of Rosewood. CONS: mouthy unsupervised teenagers; not a huge ton of lounging space inside the pool area; should be open earlier in the day(like 10 a.m.) and open all the way through September — it’s still hot! PS — regarding all public pools, can’t we please keep the diaper-wearing kids in the baby pool?
