Safelite AutoGlass

I scheduled a service to replace the entire windshield online and the price was crazy good! I took the car there and they were professional and it looked great after it was replaced. My family has also taken other cars in for rock chips and they do good with that too. Will definitely come back!

I’ve never had to go through more non-​routine car maintenance in my life before moving to Austin, but apparently everything in Texas is bigger… including the probability of being struck by a kicked-​up chunk of road on I-​35. A small chip in my windshield had expanded to a full on 2 foot crack over the course of 48 hours edging me out of potential repair town into replacementville. I called my insurance who promptly set up an appointment with Safelite for the next day. There was a little confusion about the appointment day and whether or not the windshield I needed was in stock (it wasn’t initially because it was scoped for repair, not replacement) but the service guys rescheduled me for the next available appointment. They even called my insurance to make sure I was still covered and to verify my deductible amount instead of making me go through the labyrinth of phone prompts to get an actual human from my insurance company on the line. This in and of itself is worth its weight in gold to me. Service itself took 45 minutes on location and everyone I dealt with was super nice and very professional. The technician even put all my windshield stickers back on nice and straight commending me on what had obviously taken me 5 tries to get them on only kinda straight on the old windshield. My OCD is eternally grateful. Overall I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for what was becoming a stressful situation. Service was fast, friendly, and professional! Highly recommend.

A few months back, a Safelite technician came out to «repair» the crack in my windshield as they are partnered with my insurance company, USAA.
Before even beginning the «repair», the crack was smaller than a nickel. I was informed that during the «repair» process, the crack had begun spreading, and upon completion, that the crack was then irreparable. As a result of the «repair» process, I was told that I would now require a completely new windshield and that any tiny bit of pressure to my windshield would cause more damage.
Seeing how disappointed I was, the technician then told me that he would have his superior call me in order to receive a discount on the replacement or to possibly have the cost covered altogether. Big shocker… I never heard from anyone. I would not have gone through with the attempted «repair» (done strictly as a preventative measure) had I known the result as the commercials are VERY deceiving.
I do not feel I should be liable for the cost of a new windshield or the added costs of replacing each of my required stickers, but unfortunately, I have to cover the cost of all of it as the crack has now spread across my entire windshield.
Thanks for nothing, Safelite, and you should probably train your technicians not to make offers they have no authority to make.
UPDATE*** I just wanted to leave a response about the reply from Customer Service. I won’t be contacting Safelite in order for them to reach out to me. If they are needing the name of the technician who was attempting to get out of an uncomfortable situation by telling me things that he most likely knew weren’t true, I’d be happy to provide it.

Came in to the shop with a broken windshield. I paid out of pocket for the repair. This location offered great service. They were fast and the final price actually come in below the quote price! I will be going to this location for any future needs.

Tech came over, took a few hours and after he was done he mentioned he accidentally broke the lines that run from the wiper fluid to the wipers. Blamed it on tubes and said there wasn’t anything he could do about it. Now I’ve got a new windshield, but can’t clean it while driving… and with the Bastrop fire and ashes, it’s a nice to have as I drive. In total he probably said 5 sentences to me to entire time and seemed to be in a hurry to leave. Customer service wasn’t bad, but one of the reasons I picked this company was all the commercials saying how great their customer service was. I’ll be looking for a new company next time I need my windshield repaired.

Had an encounter with a buzzard and I won. But the windshield wasn’t as lucky. Phone call to Safelite and a new windshield installed. Have used Safelite in the past and once again after an effortless phone call they are here. Thank you Safelite for excellent, professional, and customer friendly service!

I scheduled on line and these guys stood me up. They said i did it wrong. The lady at the call station was very nice but i still have a broken windshield. I checked back on line and it was done right, very frustrated.

Superb quality and service from the phone estimate all the way through to driving away after windshield was replaced.
Every step of the process was seamless and reassuring. After suffering a large crack in my windshield, I recommended by my dealership and my insurance co. to give Safelite a call. I’m sure glad i did. Geico booked the appointment on my behalf and Safelite took care of the rest. Will recommend Safelite to all my friends and family.

It literally took 2 hours and when it was done there was a huge gap between the window and the body of the car that wasn’t there before. The technician was like «oh well».

The process couldn’t have been any easier. I made the appointment through my insurance company. The technician, Roman, came to my office and did the repair while I was at work. He was timely, professional and speedy. You can barely even see where the nick in my windshield is. Plus, I came out to find a clean windshield and vacuumed car!
Great first experience — hopefully I won’t need their services again, but if I do, I’ll certainly be back.

I might’ve given them a better rating had day actually honored my appointment time and not kicked me out of there because They did not have time to replace my windshield. Thank you auto glass solutions for actually being customer friendly and doing the job.

I have a beautiful new windshield thanks to the very nice gentlemen at Pro-​Glass.
First, I tried Safelite at the suggestion of many friends… but I guess I have a very special kind of windshield. When they came out, the guy did not bring the right one… so he called the store… they didn’t have it either. He left and I got a call about an hour later from the company… my quote would go from $ 340 to over $ 800 for a «custom window.» I argued… they didn’t back down.
So, I called my dealership. They said I could bring my car in immediately, or I could just call the glass people they use for cheaper. So, long story a little shorter, Pro-​Glass called with a quote this morning and came out to my work within a couple hours. Quoted me at $ 375 and ended up costing $ 370.
Also, according to the (albeit biased) Pro-​Glass guy, they use the same exact glass suppliers as Safelite. So, NO thanks Safelite! This serves a my official recommendation for anyone in the market for replacing a windshield to call Pro-​Glass

Needed a fast windshield replacement. After asking around, everyone I talked to recommended Safelite here in Austin. I gave them a call, and they were able to schedule me for the NEXT DAY! I chose to actually go to their shop (off of Howard Lane, near I-​35) to have the work done, and they gave me a great discount for doing so. Everyone I talked to on the phone and in person were VERY professional and courteous.
The technician that did the work was fantastic! He had my car in and out in 45 minutes! Windshield looks AMAZING with no air leaks or residue from the bonding agent they use to install the windshield. Even put my inspection/​registration stickers on straight!
I would highly recommend Safelite if you need auto glass! They are first rate!

If you are in the Austin area I recommend using Armadillo Auto Glass as opposed to safelight. Safelight had the HIGHEST quote compared to anyone else in the area. The only reason I checked them out was because of the commercial, but I wanted to go local. It was going to $ 318+ and Armadillo glass offered me the most reasonable and affordable price of $ 189.00. The tech, Greg, is great and was able to fix my windshield in about 40 minutes while I was at work. I am really happy I DID NOT choose Safelight.

These guys came to my house to repair a rock crack to my windshield. It was covered by USAA and they are partners.
The repairman phoned 30 minutes before arrival. The repair took 30 – 45 minutes utilizing specialized equipment I had never seen.
The technician was a perfectionist and really cared about the result. It turned out the best it could be. Almost invisible and guaranteed to not crack further.
They are professionals, unlike some companies I have seen simply applying super glue and billing your insurance.
They are the real deal!

Had a rock chip hit my windshield on Saturday night and called USAA for the claim that night. I was referred to SafeLite and they were able to schedule me for Monday morning, even adjusting their normal four hour window to a three hour window to account for my work schedule.
After several emails confirming the appointment and telling me who my technician would be, my tech called me Monday morning to say he’d be here within 30 minutes. True to his word, he showed up on schedule and got right to work.
Honestly, the window barely looks different from its state pre-​crack. There’s what looks like a very small smudge rather than a crack or a chip.
Quick and polite service combined with solid workmanship gives these people 5 stars in my book.

I was referred to these guys through my auto insurance after making a claim for my cracked windshield. It was easy to set up an appointment and they were very accommodating. When I called to reschedule an appointment they were able to help me out without any problems. The day of my appointment I got a call from the person coming out before he headed my direction. It was all very easy and stress free. I would recommend them to anyone who needed their windshield replaced or repaired.

Easy online scheduling and price quoting. No frills.
They get the job done right and well for a competitive price. I like my restaurants local, but when it comes to car stuff, I like the backing of a large national brand.
The service took quite a bit longer than the quote said it would. That’s my only non-​positive piece of feedback.
They can also come to you! (although I’m really unsure of how they’d replace and entire windshield in my driveway)

Talk about a company that cares about its customers.
I went in today to get my windshield replaced. I was sitting in the waiting area and asked the receptionist if it was possible to turn off the overhead lights because I have a sensitivity. She says, Why don’t you sit in our conference room! So here I am as comfortable as can be with all the lights off but with natural light coming in.
So, so appreciative.
