I like to think that I know my hair and what looks good on me and what does not. Basically, I get the same cut from everyone because of what my hair does naturally. However, sometimes, I like the opinion of a stylist as to what I can get away with and what I cannot. So, here is my review of this salon. I used an online deal to get a cut and highlights. After being grilled about how I got Melissa, she is trying to build clientele for her other stylist, Melissa continued to tell me what type of cutting techniques should be used on my hair. I have very fine hair. I brought pictures and told Melissa what I wanted and she proceeded to cut my hair. Next, came the color or high lights. Melissa asked me if I wanted it to be subtle or more chucky. I told her subtle and that was the end of the color consultation. She proceeded to color my hair. The outcome was not so desirable. I left the salon with the EXACT same cut that I had when I entered the salon. Plain and boring. All she did was cut the dead ends off. There was no shape or style to my hair. Now, the color. I actually got home and realized that she had given me roots and streaks that were not natural looking at all and I left with a full head of color, blonde to be exact. I had not wanted to become a blonde, but left as one. I guess you get what you pay for. I would not recommend this salon to anyone or at east not Melissa. Melissa, sorry. I will not be remaining loyal to you.

Looking for someone who will take their time and really listen to you? Melissa is your girl! She adapted the cut I showed her to my face and spent time asking my opinions before going ahead. I have very specific expectations when it comes to my color, natural and subtle, and she did this wonderfully. The result was a gorgeous cut and highlight, better than I had imagined. She loves her job and really makes your hair work for you! Love!

I had been going to the same stylist for years until she relocated so I had been jumping around from salon to salon for years. I eventually resorted to box dyes and cheap trims. My mother and I found Melissa on Morgan’s Deals and absolutely loved her. We initially decided to check her out because on the website she placed an emphasis on the diversity of people and how she took into consideration many factors in helping find a «look» for each client. We both went in for a consultation which took 30 minutes a piece, during this time she looked at out hair, asked about what products we used, what we were looking for, and our options. Melissa educated me on the damage box dyes do to your hair and how I could manage my naturally curly hair without having to use extreme heat on it every time. I ended up getting a keratin treatment and a full color. The color she used was unlike any I had received from another stylist, it conditioned my hair and left it really shiny. Because I go to school an hour away I was not able to keep up with it as much as I wanted and three months after my color, which was red and usually fades quickly, my hair still had maintained the red. Melissa keeps records of everything she does so each time I get the same color and there is no guess work. Since I began going to Melissa my hair has been more manageable and beautiful than ever before. She is easy to get a hold of and always open to educating me about what products to use and how I can style my hair with minimal damage at home. My mom and I have already recommended Melissa to family members who love her and I would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a really personal experience tailored to their wants and needs.

Melissa was Ah-​Mazing! I had a horrible haircut and she brought me back from hobo to hot damn! I went to a local salon in Round Rock (see other review) for a haircut through an on-​line voucher and I got a hair cut that would make Lady Gaga get a run for her money. I went to see Melissa a week later and she not only corrected my horrible haircut, but she fixed my color, as well. I usually bounce around from salon to salon to find the best deal or best deal voucher but I have found a happy home with Melissa. I will remain faithful to her cutting shears! ****Side Note: She will be leaving her location at Grapevine Salons and opening up a new salon with a business partner right down the road in about 2 weeks. Give her a call, check out the new salon and prepare to leave with a great new coif!
