This is the newest location of this brand of membership warehouse. Unfortunately based on experience we will not be renewing our membership next year. The volume of quality products is disappointing to me. The customer service severely lacking. It’s not that the associates are unfriendly, it’s just very difficult finding someone near the area where you develop a question. Generally you have to get to a cash register clerk or customer service center to get assistance. Product is some times same price or $.02-$.05 different than the other club warehouse but for me the quality and lack of customer service make this a less likely option for our shopping needs.

I purchased a $ 45 groupon last week primarily because it offered a $ 20 gift card and $ 25+ in free coupons. So, I went to the new Sam’s on Lakeline Blvd. Nice, clean store and almost everyone was very friendly. However, it took 45 minutes to process my new membership card because of multiple issues with their computers. After I finally got my card, I shopped a little and found a couple of items that I can’t get at Costco. So, I’m thinking maybe having both a Sam’s account and a Costco account is not a bad idea. That though quickly evaporated when I went back to the store yesterday to pick up some items for dinner. Everything was fine until I went to check out. Then the cashier(who was very friendly btw) accidentally charged me for an item that was supposed to be free as part of the groupon promotion. She was apologetic and responded that the computer is supposed to automatically deduct the free coupon items and said that she can not do the refund, but that customer service would be able to give me the refund. A supervisor then walked me over to customer service. While walking over to cs, she told me that the only way that the system would charge me for the item was if I had already used the coupon. I politely ignored the accusation in her tone and reminded her that this is only the second time that I have been at Sam’s and that in no way had I already used the coupon. She then placed me in the long line of other people that were waiting at customer service. What? I had already completed my shopping, Sam’s makes a mistake on my bill and then tells me I have to wait in line to get a refund? The rude supervisor then went and helped other members. When she finally got back to me, she AGAIN asked me if I was sure that I had not already used the coupon. I told her to stop accusing me of using the coupon and look up my account in the system. She huffed and puffed like I was trying to take $$ from her own pocket. She finally verified that I was in fact due a refund, rudely asked to have my credit card so that she could process the refund, then rudely gave my card and receipt back to me. She then told me that I had to walk all the way back around the cash registers and exit out a different door so the gentleman at that door can verify the six items in my basket! What? I am standing 10 feet from the entrance door, you just looked at my receipt and my basket, and you want me to go out of my way yet again for some silly verification process that you just did? I promptly ignored this rude lady and walked out the nearest door. Needless to say that I will not be back to Sam’s and I will shop exclusively at Costco for my bulk purchase items.

This location is so clean and well lit. I found most of the things I needed on my own, but friendly smiling staff were always around when I needed them. The family restroom was clean as well. That’s always a plus for me when I have my kids with me.

I’ve been to this Sam’s Club a few times — it is the only Sam’s Club I’ve ever been to. My husband and I paid for an introductory membership through Groupon which gave us a discount on membership, coupons, as well as a $ 20 gift card. This was a great deal. While we don’t buy a lot of things in bulk, we have found that there are several perks to membership such as better prices on paper products, better wine selection, better pricing on larger beer quantities for parties.etc. etc. We use our membership for various things. So, I was actually happily surprised to find that this Sam’s is almost exactly like a Costco inside. Everything is definitely new and neat right now. I’ve seen variances in stocking going on — sometimes they seem well stocked and sometimes they don’t. For example: Strawberries seem to be very iffy. I’ve only been there once where the strawberries were both stocked plentifully AND looked good. Today the strawberries, cherries, grapes, cucumbers, and melons looked old and not very great. They don’t carry Prime beef like HEB. This is a big bummer, but they do sometimes have good deals on meat so I watch for the«Instant Savings» The«Instant Savings» can actually be really great. Today I went and got a huge bunch of bananas that came up to $ 1.39, and they had an «Instant Savings» sale that dropped a dollar off the prices. A huge bunch of bananas for .39? Yes please! I also like their flower case — big, beautiful, fresh roses, Peruvian lilies and mixed bouquets for cheaper than I’ve seen anywhere else. I’ve had mixed experiences with employees as well. 90% of the time the employees are smiling, willing to take you wherever you need to go and seem super friendly. Then, I’ve had cashiers who barely say a word and won’t make eye contact. It’s interesting. So, I’m giving this Sam’s Club three stars. I think there’s room for improvement — but so far, I have mostly enjoyed my experiences here. I’ve got a year membership, and this location is close to my house so there’s no doubt that I’ll be back at this point.

Great new location close to home. Same as any other Sam’s but so new and clean right now. Everything is stocked really well and neat. There are some really good deals on things like gatorade and bottled water to name a couple.
