I asked Scissortail Savories and Sweets cater a surprise birthday party for my boyfriend. The order was for two cherry pies — his favorite. These were quite possibly the most decadent and delicious pies any of the party goers had ever tasted. She told us later that she had hand pitted all 2 lbs of the cherry’s herself because she wasn’t pleased with the inaccuracy of a the cherry pitter. Serious devotion to the craft.
I have also been privy to tasting her homemade quiches, mini pies, and tarts. All of them, every single one, are sensational.

Six months ago, I worked at a company where every Tuesday was Pie Day. PIE DAY. I know, it was a magical time in my life. Every Tuesday it seemed like someone had stepped up their game – homemade, amazing pies every week. When it came to my week, I was terrified of ending the run of amazing pies – till I found Scissortail Savories & Sweets. I ordered two pies (one lemon meringue and one pear & brie) and they were both delicious. Not to mention, they knocked the competition out of the water. Karen was so easy to work with and she even delivered the pies to my office. I can’t wait till she floods the market with her awesome baked goods!

When I get married, I’m definitely going to utilize Scissortail Savories and Sweets to cater some delicious cupcakes and pies! You can’t get the personal touch like this anywhere else and the love and dedication that goes into each pastry is staggering. I highly recommend for ANY occasion!

We ordered two savory pies and a sweet pie when we were expecting last minute guests during the holidays. Fortunately, the guests cancelled their travel plans and we got to eat ALL THE PIES OURSELVES. They were absolutely amazing. I don’t even like pie crust and I ate every bite of Karen Jane’s. I also loved that the savory pies were actual pies and not quiches. Such amazing balance of flavors! Such amazing PIE!
