Visiting from California, first day in Austin. This place was about 3 miles from our hotel. Hands down best BBQ I’ve had so far. I ordered Scotty’s plate, which included 2 meats, 2 sides, bread, pickles, the works! I ordered the brisket and pulled pork. Very tender and flavorful! For sides, I ordered the creamed corn and beans. The creamed corn was AMAZING. This guy knows what he’s doing! Hope to visit this place again before we go back home! 1÷18÷16: Here for the second time. Terrance is awesome and cool. I had the sausage this time and by far my favorite thing in their menu, other than the creamed corn. You guys rock!!!

My first BBQ meal when I got to Austin. It was late at night, so options were limited, but Scotty’s didn’t disappoint. Really solid meats all around. Great ribs. All that was really lacking were the sides. Scotty’s was 5 star until I had La Barbeque, but considering no wait at all and far better than anything I can get in Philly, Scotty’s was a good call. Bonus points for the chef master being a Philadelphia Eagles fan.

The food was really good and the guy working(Scotty, I assume?) was friendly. All around it was a great food truck to visit and I’m glad we went.

I went once on a Sunday(Oct 2015). I got the ribs, sausage, brisket, beans, creamed corn — It was all edible, but the ribs were overdone, the brisket was a bit plain and lacked strength of flavor, the sausage was cool(not warm), and the creamed corn was surprisingly plain as well. My wife and teenage son felt the same. I felt the sauces left much to be desired(which is too bad because the BBQ needed it). All in all, wasn’t terrible, but just tasted like food purchased in bulk with a bit of seasoning… just not enough to get me back again I hate to give a bad review… but maybe if this weren’t Texas and this was somewhere where there weren’t a lot of BBQ places, it would taste great; but comparatively it just doesn’t make the cut. There was one person waiting on food ahead of me(had already ordered), but I waited about 15+ min to be served… which kinda confused me.

Can I borrow more stars? This BBQ trailer is one incredible secret! Well that’s good for us since we’re not real excited about waiting in long lines. But it’s just a matter of time before this luscious BBQ goes legendary. I’ll try not to rant, but… We’ve sampled Scotty’s three times now, but mainly stuck with the brisket– because we could not get past it. Oh my! It’s simply amazing! BRISKET: Succulent, moist & tender and yet not overly seasoned(as many BBQ’ers are doing in the race to compete – which can result in dicey digestive issues). Scotty’s keeps it real. The brisket has a lovely spice balance which is complemented by a complex and interesting BBQ sauce– with just the right kiss of tart and a tiniest dash of pica. SIDES: Mmmm, The beans are savory & lovely, the slaw solid —but it’s the potato salad that totally rocks! I’d go there for potato salad even if the brisket weren’t so dang good! Oh and did I mention $$value? Under $ 13 for a mess o’ delicious, tender meat & sides– w/o the wait.(yet). Next time, we’ll try the turkey — and look forward to a new adventure at Scotty’s!

Didn’t have to wait an hr for food. Always helps. Finger licking good. Definitely get ribs and brisket. All the sides; creamed corn, potato salad, beans and cole slaw. 2 plates will get what’s mentioned.($ 13.50+/plate) Ask for in house Dr. Pepper sauce. Cheers, Frederick L. Robinson II

OMG!!! Amazing BBQ. Ordered through BiteSquad and this was heaven sent. That sauce, which wasn’t needed for the brisket and ribs, was finger licking good. Ohhhh, the cream corn! Holy crap. I could take a bath in that. You have a new fan!!!

Tried Scotty’s BBQ for the first time today ordering thru Bite Squad. I special requested on my order«your best rendition of Porky the Pig» and I was not disappointed! Besides the cartoons, these people know BBQ. I am somewhat new to Austin and am a HUGE fan of brisket. I have tried almost every BBQ joint in Austin now and my only disappointment in Scotty’s was not trying them sooner! The brisket was juicy and flavorful with a beautiful smoke ring to compliment. The BBQ sauce was on point with a nice spicy kick to spark your taste buds! The fall-off-the-bone ribs I added on to my order were excellent as well, definitely worth the add-on fee of only $ 3. I am picky about my potato salad, but wow was it good! I was saddened by my last bite and am already craving more. The beans were flavorful and spicy-the perfect pairing to the smoked meats. I will be back! Thanks again for the drawing & I will be sure to recommend to friends.

Great Texas barbecue! Don’t let the mini school bus with blacked out windows fool you. There is someone back there carving, smoking and whippin’ up some dank ass BBQ. This place is delicious. Holy smack. I had the Scotty’s Plate Special: ½ pound of meat and 2 sides for $ 12.99. Effin great! Pork Ribs — Perfectly smoked leaving a dark brown thick crusty bark, with a lovely juicy supple pink meat. Came with only two bones, but damn worth it. Brisket — The smoke was on point. I haven’t had BBQ with such a distinct smoke ring and strong flavor. The meat was nice and tender and went well with their homemade sweet barbecue sauce on white bread. Good stuff. Creamed Corn — This sheet is super dangerous. I’ve always eaten it out of the can when I was a kid, but I can’t believe how freakin’ good this was. The corn was off the cob because it came in grouped kernels and tasted fresh. Man, love that stuff. Beans — I’m just not a bean fan so I guess I’ll just say that. Scotty has got some great barbecue going on. Next time I come back to Austin, I will definitely come visit Scotty. Good sheet!

Brisket gots bark. Moist, peppery turkey. Pull-off-the-bone ribs. Spicy BBQ sauces if you want ‘em. Picnic tables(but no shade unless a cloud decides to help you out), some decent sides, Scotty’s has you covered.

Whenever I’m in Austin I try something new and trust Unilocal to direct my tastebuds. Boy was I satisfied with this selection! The service was friendly and fast. The portion sizes are great and the price was very reasonable. I opted for the Scotty’s plate with moist brisket, pork ribs, potato salad and beans. The food is very flavorful and the meat is juicy with that awesome smoky taste. Yum yum yummy.

Super friendly service at a fairly accessible food truck court on the eastside. If you show up at a down time, there’s actually a few parking spaces adjacent to the alley behind the court. The brisket and sausage was good, but not great. I’d put in in a class with the best of chain-style like Rudy’s. The brisket was moist and fairly tender, but was bland. The sausage was spicy and flavorful, but a bit on the dry side. The coleslaw and potato salad rounded out the plate. Both were almost inedible. The coleslaw had zero flavor. It tasted like water poured over cabbage. And the potato salad didn’t taste like any I’ve had. The look of it was normal, the texture normal, but the taste was strange. Couldn’t put my finger on it but I only took two bites. One other weird touch was the spork. Sporks and meat do not go together. You need a proper fork to pick up a hefty slice of brisket!

Brisket and Cole slaw combined with the Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce and you got one heck of a meal. The guy working is kind, non pretentious and there is plenty of seating. Only downside is the amount of flies around the area. I’ll come prepared next time with my big ass fly swatter, TX style!

I’m still impressed… a whole day later! I throughly enjoyed 2 slices of tender, full of flavor, moist brisket, and 2 full of flavor, dry rub-seasoned, smoky delicious ribs. I topped it all off with the party-in-your-mouth spicy sauce. .God!!! I also had the creamed corn and beans. All of it was the ! I met the owner who was very service oriented, his brother, who stopped by for a plate and friendly chat. Whenever I come back… You know where I’m going!!! To the little red bus with the baby doll on the front!!! As crazy sounding as it was delicious!!!

No wait at all. Was treated like I was family. Brisket was thick cut and amazing, pork ribs were perfect. Beans had some good spicy-ness to them and the Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce was one of the best sauces I’ve ever had !!! Onions, pickles, white bread, picnic tables, and a dog laying at your feet. What more could you want from a Texas BBQ joint?

Decided on this food truck after my Live Oak was closed. Slingin some great BBQ yo. Scotty’s brisquet has a top notch bark with a serious smoke ring. It is smokey deliciousness. I feel the same about their pork ribs. Nice bark, fully smoked, and super tender Last note, I feel that the dry rub itself is well balanced with a lil hint of sweet with some mild heat paprika. The spice rub is also well balanced with the smokiness that they meticulously imparted in the meat. I personally don’t like it when spice rubs are so assertive that they ruin the wonderful smokey flavor that is labored for. I’m gonna happily go back from this experience, but to also try a side or two based on these other reviews. Buen provecho!
