The first thing you notice upon entering the office is that this is a Christian establishment. The receptionist even makes it a point to read you their mission statement about bringing God into people’s families through their care. Because of the chiropractor’s religious beliefs, he thinks that individual medical care is a family affair in decision-making, both medically and financially. He refused to speak to me, a married woman, about my own care without my husband present. I made very clear to him that we were uncomfortable with that idea, and that as an adult, I am empowered to make my own care decisions. He put his foot down and refused! Speaking of the financial decisions, I could not help but feel I was getting scammed. Despite an offer to see X-Rays and records from four years of previous care elsewhere, this doctor recommended $ 4,000 worth of care 4 times a week, including«mandatory» seminars — for my whole family — on nutrition, and«clean living.» He even has a video, and a whole segment of his schpiel about financing lined up. This smelled like scam. Never in my life did I feel so powerless at the hands of a doctor. I could not get away from this practice fast enough. If you attend there, I hope your experience is better.
