Sonic Drive In

So. For the few times I ever come to sonic. I was actually craving a strawberry limeade and the drink spilled on the hood of my car. What would a customer expect? I was hoping to get a new drink. But they wanted to charge me another one. Customer service definitely needs some improvement. Never coming here again.

I stopped in for one of my unhealthy snacks/​mini meal while in town. I wanted a coconut cream pie shake. I pulled in and after about 2 minutes I pushed the big red order button. My stomach yell no but my taste buds screamed YES, feed me now!!!
The employee who took my order seemed a put off that I was ordering a milkshake at 9am but it is who I am. Don’t judge me. Haha The shake was out to me in less than 5 minutes. It was what I think heaven would taste like if it was a food. Maybe it is the taste of the clouds that Angels sit? Anyway, while sipping my shake I thought about how calories don’t count and this made my glutton mind feel slightly better.

Go to another location! 2^nd time going and my order being cold and completely diff from what I ordered. I hate that they ask to keep your change if they can’t even get an order right. When I called to speak to the manager Ericka, she was very rude and hung up the phone on me.

Drove over to Sonic with my friend to get a slushie. I was a little hungry so I got a snack. My friend ordered a lemon slush and I ordered a medium popcorn chicken. When they brought it out, they brought her the wrong drink which was no problem. But both of us hate sending stuff back, both being in the service industry.
In the meantime I started to eat my popcorn chicken. It was disgusting. Got my friend to try a bite and there was no way anyone would be happy with these. They had to had been sitting under a heat lamp for at least 20 minutes. They were chewy, squishy, and spongey. So, again we had to get it fixed. I honestly just was so grossed out, I wanted to go. Anyway, we waited another 5 minutes. Her drink came out and was definitely not what a lemon slush tastes like. I tasted like mixed powder drink, fake tasting. No lemons or anything.
My food came out and it was good like it had always been before.
It was just frustrating because there were no apologies or anything. The guy who brought our food out last asked if we needed anything else though. But I cannot believe that chicken that old and disgusting would be served to someone. The other employees couldn’t have cared less. Makes me wonder how often it happens here. I don’t go to sonic often at all but I definitely won’t be stopped at this one again.

I love Sonic, but this location has to be the worst I’ve ever encountered. Went there last week, and the order was completely wrong. Wrong sandwich, no condiments offered, and the slush didn’t have anything added after I asked them twice to add additional items.
I figured I’d try them again, and after the first experience, I wanted then to read the order back. After asking twice, a manager was requested bc the guy putting in the order couldn’t repeat it back for some reason. The manager was extremely short with me, and repeatedly told me to look at the screen. The acronyms on the screen didn’t match my order, and of course it was all wrong. again. If you want sonic, avoid this one.. Or just hit up one of the 30 other restaurants at southpark. chances are they will all be able to handle an easy order compared to this place.

Paid for Croissant dog, when i got the dog, looks like its in regular bread. Went to call them again, she said it is the right one. Smh, how can you say Croissant bread, when its actually use regular bread

Those shakes are amazing. I rarely find a good peanut butter shake. Also try the fries off the kid’s menu. So cheap so goood!

Everything was as expected. Nothing more, nothing less

Don’t waste your time stopping. They don’t have what they advertise, and don’t answer the call button.

Happy hour is from 2 – 4 PM every day

Today is «cheat day» and I get whatever I want for lunch but had to settle for convienience having to run errands at lunch.
A Super Sonic Cheeseburger with Jalapeño Poppers is one of my favorite fast food meals if it’s done right. This one had it dead on. Cheeseburger was fresh and the poppers were fried perfectly.
A smiling, super-​friendly carhop to top it off. Nice lunch!

Let’s say it together, ‘Cherry-​Vanilla-​Cream-​Dr. Pepper’… it’s like heaven for your tastebuds in a Route 44 Styrofoam cup.
Being from a small-​town where the local Sonic was the ‘go-​to,’ dive for drinks and food; I’ve developed a soft-​spot for the place. I have tried countless Sonics in the Austin area and not one even comes close in comparison to this location! Somehow making my drink the way I like it is never a priority for many of the Sonics I have visited in the area, but this joint makes it just the way mama likes it.
Not to mention they have pretty impeccable customer service. I can only think of one time when my order came out delayed; they included a coupon for a free burger and still greeted me with a smile, by a friendly server – that’s customer service at its best!

It’s sonic, beats all the other fast food joints and they have the best drinks.

Location can be an inconvenience from time to time during the Austin traffic times or on weekends of course. However they are very fast, polite, and fresh food.
Their happy hour is everyday from 2 – 4 EVERYDAY how awesome is that. It’s funny because like 2 our of 5 times I have actually made it to their happy hour. By the time I remember HEY half priced drinks. It’s like 5:15 or so.
So if you have better memory that I do hit this place up and remember from 2−4(ish).
Also if you like to just sit in your car to eat/​drink, Beware of the carhops literally going around in circles forgetting they have asked you the «Mint, Ketchup, Napkins» question.
Also if you like to sit in your car you could witness a carhop on skates. who tend to get overly skatey if that’s even a word and they eat sh** and fall. It’s not fun to actually be the one who falls but, always fun to watch someone fall. Oh don’t give me that look you know you laugh too !

Got a quick bite to eat before my nephew’s birthday party.
What I liked:
–mmmm…tater tots
–mmmm…tater tots washing it down with a chocolate shake!
–order thru intercom, pay with cash or plastic, then servers deliver food
–friendly servers on blades!!! I felt like I was at Arnold’s with Potsi and Ralph Malph!
–non-​alcoholic HH during the week, loved their chocolate shake & my fiancée enjoyed the limeade slush.
Why no fifth star:
–drive-​in in its truest sense, some benches outside, but abt it
–waited a few minutes before the next server on blades would distribute ketchup.
Even though I see plenty of Sonic commercials on TV in the Bay Area, there’s only one in Hayward. For now, I’ll consider it a Texas must-​visit when I need a shake/​tot fix!

We love that this Sonic tends to offer happy hour prices until 5pm.
Their service tends to be pretty good, but happy hour gets really slow and the drinks get really watery. Their carhops all tend to be really great since the one that liked to tip herself with your change is gone. She claimed she couldn’t carry change, bills only, when I called her back… she hasn’t been there in a long long time though.
My big LOL moment is the male car hop on skates that gives a big ol «HAI» because it makes the baby start crying every. single. time. and he has no clue that the wailing is because of him.
