South Austin Pollo

I came in from out of town and stumbled upon this trailer. I had a chicken salad with the green sauce! Mmmmm! It was delicious. However, I had a bite of the torta. I have never had a torta before, but it was incredible. I was blown away. The service was great and the price is right! I recommend it to all!

This trailer is a part of the Barton Springs Neighborhood Food Court.
I stumbled upon this trailer on accident after seeing a long line at P. Terrys around the corner. The folks at the trailer, unfortunately didn’t have any of there namesake Pollo, due to wet wood (which I gather means the chicken is made fresh on site, AWESOME!).
I was forewarned that all they had to offer today was breakfast tacos today. Being the breakfast taco lover that I am, that was no biggie. What was a biggie was my bill! 12 bucks and some change for three bacon, egg, and potato tacos. Yikes! The tacos were good, lots of bacon, and the eggs were perfect, (usually I think places make them to soggy which I am not a fan of.)
Upon finding the facebook page for this trailer, it looks like it is all mainly local and organic ingredients and the taco’s were good and nice and fresh. This fact wasn’t advertised very clearly… if it were maybe I would have had a little less sticker shock.
I thought it was good, just not $ 4 bucks a taco good. I do feel that this place warrants another visit to check out the chicken as it looks like that is the speciality.
