This is my go to Starbucks location, I live right across the street so I make a trip here several times a week. However, as its close to campus, it does get very busy at certain times of the day and particularly around midterms and finals! I would suggest using their mobile order service as its very reliable and fast. They also hold mobile orders behind the counter sometimes, so don’t be afraid to check with the barista to see if your order is ready when you arrive. As far as a study spot, I typically only enjoy studying here in the early morning. Later in the day, the interior gets pretty crowded. The outdoor patio has plenty of seating and is a great place to catch up with a friend if the weather is nice! Parking can be kind of tricky here so I suggest walking if you are nearby and already parked. There is a small lot on the Nueces St side of the building near smoothie king, but there are also a few spots on San Antonio St along the side Starbucks. Be wary of parking in the lots and leaving to walk elsewhere, I’ve unfortunately seen people getting towed out of these lots on multiple locations.

This is a busy, but friendly SBX. I also really like the large patio. The baristas take the opportunity to get and know your name.

My favorite Starbucks location! I always order using the mobile app and they have my drink waiting for me on my way to class. Have been here dozens of times and they always get my drink right. They’ve only been out of iced coffee once while I was there, and the pastry items are always in stock. Warning: this location is always busy due to its close proximity to campus. However, if the weather is nice, try the large patio outside. There is usually a free table or two.

For a Starbucks in a university area, this location really does a good job at customer service and space. Plus the drink quality isn’t half bad. With a huge patio space and ever so friendly baristas, this Starbucks is one of my favorites in Austin. It’s get busy though and sometimes can take forever for a drink to come out so if you are in a rush, your best bet is to use mobile order. And don’t forget to bring a charged laptop! This location lacks outlets. Even the only one outside does not work

Starbucks after the recent renovation got a lot cuter. And there are definitely a lot more seating inside. I used to avoid this place at all costs because it’s always swamped with college students, and I’m just not a big fan of the coffee, but now that the fall weather is coming around, I could really use the outside patio seating, and Starbuck’s wifi never fails me. I’ve also never experienced bad customer service here, surprisingly, so that’s always a plus.

everything was pretty good until i realized the barista was too lazy to shake my strawberry acai refresher in the shaker, could’ve been better!: -(

They seriously messed up my mobile order. Took more than 15 minutes when it said it was 2 – 3 minutes on my Starbucks app. The coffee was standardized like every Starbucks. I can’t say for regular orders since I’m usually in a rush when ordering coffee.

We just tried out the new Starbucks app & ordered a lemon bar frappuccino from our iPhone. This is one sweet app!

For a place that is primarily run by students this place is pretty awesome. They usually get my drink right, and if they don’t they are quick to remedy the problem. This place is always packed, so don’t go there during school-ish hours expecting to find a place to sit– especially if you’re with a group. No matter how long the lines are, it moves pretty fast. I wish that drinks came a little faster, but that just might be me being a caffeine addict and a «go go go go» type person. This place also has outdoor seating which is super nice!

Good location and great service. The drinks come out really quick probably because of the hoards of college students always coming in, being so close campus and in the middle of west campus.

Excellent customer service. Seriously some of the best practices I’ve ever seen at a Starbucks(or any coffee shop, really). They manage to burn through the line at peak times with a smile, even remembering names and asking how you are. This should be where other Austin locations go to learn how to serve the public.

I ordered a sandwich at 6.40 am, they said the oven isn’t on yet, asks me to wait 15 – 20 min, and said this sandwich is on them. It’s great mentality, knows that when the customer spends extra morning time here, it’s good to give them something in return. The sandwich turned out hot, delicious, and free. Even though I struggled on the bed for like 3 hrs for some food, I didn’t feel too hungry mentally :)

The location is at an intersection of sorts. Other than the fact that waiting for the light to cross the street can be pain, the location is pretty nice. I’m always a big fan of Starbucks. this review might be slightly biased. :) The baristas are all really friendly, I don’t really have complaints about service. In terms of seating availability, it’s a hit or miss. If you come during the more popular hours, then it is difficult to snag a seat sometimes. Some of the tables do not have easy access to plugs either. There is a long table that has outlets installed on the table top. This is probably my favorite interior piece in the store. There is outside seating as well in case it becomes too crowded inside. There is generally a regular stream of customers that enter and leave the store. Thus, the store has two entrances which helps with the flow of patrons. Another bonus: the bathroom door does not require a a code or key to enter unlike certain other Starbucks.

Starbucks in general gets a bad rap. I don’t care really, they have a decent cup of Joe and this particular location is fun to drop by and watch the folks come and go. It mainly frequented by college folks since it’s right by the Main Tower at UT. Parking can be a downer, but you can find it if you look. Nice patio to hang out on during the nicer cool days of fall and spring. Staff seems busy and seem to always produce me a smile. I sometimes sit outside and reflect on the old days when this location was Les Amis. I can almost hear the banter in the wind from years back while sipping some wine by the old fire place.

The short, mousy blonde perceived it professional to yell and wave her stupid hand in the air, «Hey girl!» to solicit my attention to be the next customer in line. When I asked her, «Did you just say«hey girl»? She replied, «Yes, is there something wrong with that?» Perhaps the fact that we do not know each other, and you assume that I’m African American, you can speak in slang. Starbucks management, please remind your staff about professionalism and customer service. Thanks in advance.

Despite my review in 2010, I’ve been going back every once in a while and things have gotten better. I just remind myself that chances are it’s students running the place so I can’t expect the best. Service is better now and I’ll keep going back for my coffee fixes.

Great service, love how close it is to my apartment in West Campus as well as TO campus. Going there more often now because of the BOGO special for the holiday drinks. There’s a good little space inside for people to study and work, but a little small and usually crowded. There is also patio space to sit, and an easy place to meet up with a friend. Parking lot in back allows parking for an hour. Holiday drink faves: Crème brûlée latte and pumpkin spice latte. Try them if you get a chance! :)

Aside from being the only Starbucks within walking distance of campus that is NOT a franchise store and will give you free refills, this location is a great place to study! If you manage to get there at a time where people are shuffling out instead of planting their butts firmly in a chair, you can get a pretty good spot to study that also has a lot of room on the table! Downsides: — it’s kind of loud, so if you really need silence, this may not be the best place for you. — The internet can be slow sometimes, but that’s a fault of nearly every coffee shop. Pros: — Since this place is so close to campus, it’s a great place to meet people to catch up or have meetings or interviews! They have a nice patio area where you can be outside(if the weather permits…) — Free refills and soy!(if you have your green or gold card). Since Starbucks is taking this away next month, take advantage of this great perk that you can’t get on campus! — A larger selection of baked goods. The campus Starbucks don’t always have good baked goods, so this is definitely a plus!

I’m a fan of convenience. I can walk here in about 10 minutes, and use my rewards card for unlimited refills. As long as I can find a seat, I’m happy. However, this place is busy. Sorry if you can’t find a seat, especially if you come here during the summer to work for a few hours. It’s okay, you have your iced coffee to cool yourself down as you wait outside for seating to open up, right? I’m a fan of convenience, not a fan of the crowd. Even with that said, I’ll still be coming around cause I always manage to snag a spot.

Hungover with a free drink coupon in hand, I arrived at Starbucks this morning and said«I like coffee and chocolate, make it happen.» And it happened. The employee at the register could probably tell I wasn’t quite right, and asked me a few, but important questions to help decide what to make for me. In the end, I walked away with a tasty iced mocha with an extra shot of espresso. I appreciated the speedy service and nod of understanding. However, I will say that it’s still summertime, and this Starbucks gets pretty busy during the long semesters. Parking is pretty much nonexistent unless you’re a lucky duck but there is free 30 minute parking in the garage next door if you can manage to get in, find a spot, get your drink, and get out of the garage within 30 minutes. They have lots of seating inside and a large patio outside for when it gets cooler.
