Wow! Elayna is definitely one of the BEST hair stylist I’ve ever had! From the first interaction I had with her on the phone I knew I would like her! I needed desperately to get my hair color and cut fixed on a Saturday night! It was after 7pm and of course no one in town was open or willing to take an evening appointment except for Elayna! Not only did she schedule me for 7:30 at night, but she accepted me on her very own daughter’s birthday! I can’t even make this up, it was incredible! She was very personable and kept conversation interesting and made me feel like we were long lost best pals! She knew exactly what she was doing, suggested tips for up keep, was very gentle with my tender head, did not try to up charge me or encourage me to buy any over the top product. She simply gave me the color that I’ve been looking for for awhile now and trimmed my hair and gave me a steaming treatment that made my hair feel wayyyy soft and healthy again! An absolute favorite and will be returning before my graduation this winter!

My daughter was starting Kindergarten, so I wanted to get her hair washed and blown out to look nice on the first day of school. I searched Unilocal for a salon that specialized in natural hair and found Stunner Status. I called Elayna and made an appointment for the same day.
This is why I recommend her:
1) She took my same-​day appointment (without hesitation) AFTER HOURS and on a Monday, just for me!
2) She was very welcoming and patient with my five year old, who had never been to a salon before.
3) She used great products on her hair and answered all my questions and recommended the best products for my daughter’s hair.
4) She quoted 45 minutes for the complete service, and indeed adhered to that time frame (while simultaneously working on two other clients — which is not her usual workload, but she accommodated my last minute request and for that, I’m grateful!)
5) Although I just requested a wash and blow-​out only, she went above and beyond and offered a deep condition with steam, blow out and flat iron/​press, trim as well as a «bump» with a large barrel curling iron to boot!
6) Her pricing was a little more than what I would have expected, but i didn’t mind paying more due to the time constraints of my appointment.
7) My daughter loves her silky smooth hair and looked great on the first day of school!
8) She was super nice and easy to talk to.
Thanks again to Elayna. I will make another appointment soon to get my hair done by her.

This is my third time going and I haven’t been disappointed yet!!! I always have the best experience and tell everyone I know that this is the place to go. Not only does she do an excellent job but she is very knowledgable about products and gives tips/​tricks on how to maintain the style. I wouldn’t go anywhere else in Austin. Kinks on fleek!

As from being from out of town, using Unilocal!to network thru my visit in the city. I needed hair services, due to positive reviews and comments. Finalized my decision — honestly — I felt I have made the right choices — from the stylist and the Unilocal… 5stars, for y’all both — it’s amazing…

Elayna is an excellent hair stylist! I went to her to fix my hair color and I also got a trim. She does great work and is a really nice person! My experience was great and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone who is looking for a hair stylist. I couldn’t come up with a complaint if I tried. I am SO very happy with the way my hair came out! Couldn’t have asked for better service!

First off let me say I love my hair! I was referred to Elayna by a friend and told that she was great at EVERYTHING, I researched her and decided to make an appointment. Boy am I glad that I did! I have lived in Austin for a little over 2 years and seen a handful of hair stylist and literally I have left the chair happy only one time before this. She takes her time and pays close attention to every detail, which is what makes her so unique. So happy and I will definitely be going back! Stunner status is right! I had a very important event to go to and my usual stylist was on vacation, so I scheduled an appointment with Elayna based on a recommendation. I desperately needed a color to cover up my not so flattering gray highlights and wanted an edgy cut. I showed Elayna an inspiration pic and she nailed it. She is extremely knowledgeable about hair color, highlights, and most importantly to me naturally curly hair. The compliments that I receive on my new do are endless and best believe I will be going back to this hair extraordinaire.

Great salon ! I have natural hair and Elayna is great with it ! Good for color as well !! Have been here several times. Highly recommend it for Afro hair and other types !

I was afraid when I moved here that I wouldn’t find a person to help tame my natural hair. I am so happy I found out about Elayna. She is amazing and an awesome individual to meet. Elayna really knows how to take care and style your hair in any shape or color you want. I came to her for a dramatic summer cut and color and she delivered. She even recommended excellent hair products to use while I maintain my hair at home. If you are are looking for a great stylist for any hair type… Look no further!

I highly recommend Elayna if you want your hair to go from drab to fab! she has been doing my hair for almost 2 years now and not once have I doughted her skills. Today I went from super long to an A line bob. I am so picky about my hair and I was a little nervous about chopping all my hair off because I know how wrong a short A line can go. But I am so pleased with my cut. she also does amazing highlight and layers!
she is so knowledgeable when it comes to anything beauty related. Ask her anything and she will probably know the answer. There were several questions I had that she helped me understand. Not only was she helping me but other hair stylists in the salon go to her for help.
All in all give her a try if you’re looking for your person, I’m confident that she will be it for any hair type and style.
