Suds Carwashes

This was one of the best car washes I have bought. My car was literally covered in crap. I did not want to touch it and I didn’t think an automatic car wash would get the poop off. This place came up as being cheap and hand wash, so I went for it. Best decision I’ve made this week. The man who was at the shop looked at my car quite dubiously, but he said he would do his best. I watched him spray, scrub, and polish my car until it shone unlike I had seen it before. The pictures are before and after.

If you, like me, are anal about your car and like to avoid automatic car washes, this is your place. It’s 100% hand wash and they do a fantastic, thorough job. They offer car washes with pricing based on size of car and then a la carte add-​ons like interior vacuum, interior window cleaning, etc. Very reasonably priced and convenient. I opted for a car wash, vacuum and interior window wash.
Payment via Square so no need to bring cash for tipping. Be aware, however, it’s a one-​car-​at-​a-​time operation so bring a book in case there’s a wait.

Sad. This place used to be worth it. Not any more. New management so the prices increased as well as no more loyalty card. They were more interested in getting to the next car with only two people working on a Friday they were behind. Car wasn’t completely dried and the windows were streaky. While they were doing the tire they started another vehicle behind me. The rear end was wet all over again it wasn’t dried. Sad because this used to be worth the cost.

Came in from out of town and needed to have our car hand washed only so of course we turned to Unilocal.Read the reviews for Suds so we decided to check it out even though the gas station where its located looked a bit sketchy. The people that hand washed our car were great, quick and offered great pricing. Definitely worth it and would recommend!

A couple of years ago, I vowed to stop paying for other people to wash my car because I’ve always found that I do a MUCH better job myself for ½ the price at DIY car washes. However, I broke my own rule on NYE and was so glad I did!
I spent $ 20 + tip to have the exterior washed and the inside vacuumed/​wiped down. Despite it being a cold day, they didn’t rush or skip the details, and my car looked at least as good as when I do it myself. They also brought out a little space heater while I was waiting which was a small gesture that I appreciated.
I got the impression that these are really hardworking people who don’t cut corners even though their prices are super reasonable. I’ll definitely be back anytime I need a car wash in Austin.

I recommend this place for car washes! I brought in my car and the guy who washed it took his time and really worked hard on my car. It came in gross and came out squeaky clean! And it was very cheap compared to most places. I was happy with it, especially because they clean it by hand which I prefer. If you ever need a quick wash, might as well go here :)

I was going to bump their star rating, but I had an annoying encounter. Swung by for a car wash this morning. I had purchased 10 washes over time on their suds card, and ready to redeem my free wash. The employee let me know he wouldn’t honor my free wash because some of the earlier washes happened under old ownership and they wouldn’t honor it.
He was very nice about it and I’m sure he was just trying to avoid getting in trouble, but it’s annoying to have to try and return later just to talk with a manager about possibly honoring all these washes I purchased. If they don’t honor my free wash, I’m taking my business elsewhere and would encourage everyone to do the same.

Very nice people & awesome job on the wash! Go here instead of the chain car washes. Cheap too. $ 15 for my Mazda 3.

Excellent job! These guys pride themselves in quality work. Way better than H2O. He uses soap and a pressure washer, which make for a deep cleaning that you can’t get from home or a machine. Highly recommended.

These guys were really good. They cleaned my incredibly dirty car – years of dog hair, never been cleaned in the three years i’ve owned it – and it was a mere $ 25 for outside and inside. And they were incredibly nice, professional, and all around really cool. Never heard of them before, just looked them up on here. I didn’t want to go to a big corporate type of place, and picked them. I will be back.

These people are serious about cleaning your car. Excellent attention to detail. It takes a while and it isn’t cheap, but it’s so worth it. You get what you pay for, and this is a good value. If you’re in Austin and need a car wash, this is the place!

Took the (relatively muddy) Tacoma there late morning, $ 20 exterior wash plus interior vacuum, windows, dusting. Good job for the price, I’m happy.

Today was the second time I went. I got the works: wash, vacuum, interior wiped down, interior windows. They even offered to get rid of a huge scratch I had gotten from hitting a pillar in a garage. They did an awesome job. My car was super clean, excellent detail! And they did it in about 30 min.

Everything is a la carte, which I wasn’t told in advance. If you pieced together the services that comprise a normal bottom-​line carwash anywhere else, you’d be paying a luxury price at Suds. They didn’t even tell me the wash didn’t include a vacuum. Are you kidding me? Bullshit!
It’s just a filthy little carport with lawn chairs outside to sit in while you wait. I can’t believe this place is in business. What hand wash does not include the inside??? Furious that I wasted my time and money on this sham service.

In desperate need of a car wash and in true Unilocaler fashion I looked up a place that would wash my car for me on Unilocal!
This place is on the property with the gas station and if you turn in from Lamar you have to go around to the back side of the car wash and pull in. It is a little confusing and hard to back up and go around the building so, I would recommend pulling in from North Loop.
They will bring you out a laminated sheet giving you pricing based on the size of the car and then you can add extras such as wiping the inside out, vacuuming, wiping interior windows, wax coat, etc. I added everything but the wax coat and it was about $ 40 ish dollars plus a tip.
They were quick considering that they do it all by hand but, it was worth waiting for. The wash was spotless and the interior was squeaky clean and smelling good since they put new car smell air freshener in it. They also offer full detailing but, you need to make an appointment for that (see my picture for details).
They accept credit cards and even have a covered area outside with a picnic table for you to sit and wait.

Another great experience. $ 25 got me a great wash, interior vacuum (including trunk), and window and wheel cleaning and shine. The people who run Suds are very friendly and relatively quick, considering the detail work involved. I recommend this place over any other car wash in the area. One note — they are closed on Sundays (despite what the Unilocal hours say).

Went right around 11 on a weekday & was done 30 minutes later. They even had a shaded table where I could wait. Friendly service & my car looks so nice & clean now.
Deducting a star because their credit card processing was out & I had to use the gas station’s ATM to get cash. They say they take credit, but I’ll just bring cash next time. And there will be a next time!

For $ 10, can’t beat it!
Went at 11:30AM on a Sunday and there was no line. Got a professional car wash done for $ 10 (I added a $ 2 tip as well) and was in and out of there in about 15 minutes.
Way better than Mister or Genie. I would definitely come back.

Nice job guys! A few minor things: fuzz on windshield wipers crated a noticeable streak. One wipe of the blades and there was residue birding the end of the blade’s spectrum.

What I paid Amazon Local 65 $ for.
What I got: exterior hand wash and dry; carnauba hand wax; vacuum floor mats and trunk interior; shine interior surfaces; wipe exterior surfaces; wheels detailed, dressed, and conditioned; and slightly annoyed.
So after arriving I felt awkward having to explain to the manager about my Amazon coupon. Not her fault, her manager/​cousin didn’t even tell her he had put out coupons on Amazon local. Pretty pertinent if you ask me. So I hang around and wait oversee this 129 $-value-​for-​half-​price deal I bought. As I’m waiting I do a little light reading of the wash options. After some arithmetic I come to realize a full package with one of everything for my car from the options would total a whopping 45 $. NOT 65 $. There’s not a single thing that adds to 65, let alone 129. This owner is down right lying to Amazon and his customers. I immediately felt anger, annoyed, taken advantage of. Advertising and selling a service you don’t actually offer or have even trained your staff for? Pathetic. Very.
I still don’t blame the staff that day, not their fault the owner isn’t a very good one. So I still waited around for about 90 minutes for them to finish. As I was driving home I noticed several overlooked details in this Supreme Detailing. Details like the windshield interior wasn’t wiped, at all. The sideview mirrors weren’t wiped. The bugs on the front grill were still present. The gaps on either side of my shifter were still unclean. The rear quarter window still had dog breathing residue. The chrome exhaust tips still hadn’t been wiped and shined. Rearview mirror wasn’t clean. Engine wasn’t degreased and cleaned. The hand wax is spray on 8 $ bottle.
Here’s a funny tidbit. I paid a local indigent 46 $ and he did a better job in less time, and it was dealership quality. If after reading this you still have any doubts. I’ll help you with them. You need a cheap, quick, Knock-​the-​dirt-​off 5 $ wash, see suds. Otherwise see someone else and get what youPay for. I can get my car tuned for that price at my dealership and the complimentary wash is stellar and in better time.
Note to the owner. Get a checklist. For every type wash you sell. The «detail» I received wasn’t worth 65 $. Stick to regular washes. Your staff did the best of their training.
