They lost the pants to my suit. Didn’t offer a refund. Only gave me the runaround. They could care less. So here’s your one star review Tammy’s.

I tried Tammy’s on a friend’s recommendation. After one of his visits, they found his wallet in the parking lot with a significant amount of cash in it. They called him and stayed past their regular closing time so he could come back and pick it up. And he said they did good work.
I had felt like my business was an annoyance to the lady behind the counter at Rick’s Cleaners (I got that impression multiple times, and the woman seemed like an owner/​family member), so I decided to try out Tammy’s.
I’ve now been a customer here regularly for about two years and am always happy with the service.

I really like the location and the price for dry cleaning. They also do a great job with the upholstery covers for my sofa. I’m pretty regular here and I too have noticed a change in the service and not being opened in the morning when they are supposed to be and have thought about writing to the owners but I am certain they know when the store isn’t opened.
The young women that help me are always very friendly even when they seem to be overwhelmed. The juice place tends to take up most of the parking in the morning during rush hour but there is plenty of parking towards the South side of the lot.
I have never had an issue with paying with cc or with cash but I see others have. On one occasion the clerk wasn’t there and one of the staff from the back couldn’t «ring me up» so she offered the let me have my cleaning for free. I can’t do that, so I paid a little more but it’s worth it to me.

What used to be a great operation, plummets under new ownership and management. Nothing like showing up at a business multiple times to find it closed when it supposed to open. Or, more recently, the frequently broken credit card machine — so debit and credit cards can’t be processed (who carries cash??).
And, more recently they don’t seem to know how to launder a shirt without shattering buttons (I don’t get that one at all).
I’ve used them for years. No more. Buyer beware.

I’ve had a horrible experience with this cleaners. I had one dress altered by them and the alterations came out fine. However, they were 2 weeks later than their guaranteed date and it was for a wedding. I’ve had the same issue with regular dry cleaning. They guarantee a time and it is never done by the time they say it will be. Will not be returning.

They «lost» our clothes, including a $ 250 dress. Said I could look on their donation rack, and found three of my shirts. This place is a disaster. Rick’s is just down the street and have not had a problem.

Can we do zero stars? Just needed a white button down shirt cleaned and pressed and there are a ton of wrinkles. It’s actually worse than when it was brought in.

I was a customer here fire a year with no issues, though ive paid less but I figured if they cleaned and pressed my clothes well, on time, nothing lost, I’m happy.
Then there were 3 mistakes in a row: pressed collar with a corner turned up (awkward), mangled seam and missing hook on waist line of pants, missing button on pants.
Oh and no offer to fix anything, ever.
I did argue to not pay for the shredded pants cleaning. Seriously, it looked like my $ 100 wool lined nice essential black pants (tear) got stuck in a machine and just, well, mangled.
So now I go to star brite, 50% off brand opening special. I still haven’t paid over $ 4… And its awesome. The lady is a sweetheart, the guy is not nice but hey. Cheap, effective, efficient, nothing mangled and it all smells nice, amazing! :)

I’ve had a few minor alterations and some dry cleaning before at Tammy’s, so I didn’t expect a problem. I had a wool coat with a split lining inside that needed repair. It also needed to be cleaned. I had two other jackets and a skirt for dry cleaning. The repair on the lining was a joke. I could have stitched it up like that at home. When I told the guy I had a problem with it, he asked if I wanted to send it back for them to re-​do. I said no, since they got it wrong the first time, I didn’t think they’d get it right the second time. He then asked what I wanted him to do. I told him I shouldn’t have to pay for it. He got huffy and said, «Okay.» I still paid almost $ 36 to dry clean those four items. I consider that way too much to pay for this place, so I won’t be going back. I will say they jackets and skirt looked clean at first glance, and I didn’t smell any foul odors.

1 star because it is cheap. –4 stars because their best employee is like the teenager who works behind the counter. I have walked in and the owner was on the phone the whole time talking to a friend, and proceeded to get the wrong items and just didn’t give a care about customer service. But the real nastiness is the last time I dropped off a duvet cover with some shams and they came back smelling like #2. I am not kidding. I almost vomited right there. My husband brought it back the next day and the girl behind the counter said she smelled nothing. What??? Really? The did clean it for free that day, but I won’t return.

Affordable and convenient. Don’t expect much customer service or attention to detail. I’ve broken a few buttons here and there but continue to return. They have a special on Wednesdays for dry cleaning shirts– I think is about $ 1/​per.

I’m do not often dry clean my clothes, but I needed some help after my coat had a run in with a muddy dog park. I took two coats here because of the tolerable reviews, but unfortunately it was horrible. Since I don’t frequent the dry cleaners, I asked how much they would be when I dropped them off, and I was told $ 4 per coat. Good deal. When I returned, I was given a bill for $ 19.98. After I informed the man of the mistake, he said it must have been his son working when I dropped them off and he ‘doesn’t know the prices.’ Umm then why does he work there? I tried reasoning with him but he took my coats back and started helping the man behind me in line. I couldn’t leave without them because they were my only two coats so I ended up still paying $ 15. Then when I got home, I discovered they had actually ripped the stitching out of one of the button holes that I can’t stop from fraying.

HORRIBLE! I needed to get a futon slip cover cleaned, and although I have never tried Tammy’s before decided to try it out since it’s on the way to work.
I just went in today to pick up the slip cover and it is TORN TO SHREDS. The attitude of the woman behind the counter was completely I-​could-​care-​less. She never apologized, just kept sayign that it was easy to see how it could happen given the stitching of the slip cover. She said that they could sew it back, and then grabbed my credit card to run for the price of the dry cleaning. I could not believe that she would have even considered charging me and snatched my card back.
I just can’t believe 1) that they were going to try and pass that off as a finished job when the destruction to the item was so blantant and obvious and 2) never got any kind of apology for terrible service.
Maybe it is fast and cheap, but you pay for what you get. Steer clear of this place.

This is now my ‘official’ dry cleaner, thanks to its proximity to my house and super-​speedy turnaround. They’ll done a good job with my dresses, my boyfriend’s shirts and both out slacks.
I dropped off about 8 sweaters this morning, and they’ll be ready at 5pm. Wow! I just hope it doesn’t cost me 60 $ like the last time I had a batch of sweaters cleaned. *fingers crossed*

Tammy’s is a bit of a drive for me compared to the very convenient cleaners I have right on my block, but they’re worth it. Very inexpensive, and so quick! Many times my clothes are ready the same day. I have had minor repairs and replacements done to my clothes, and have never had any item turn up damaged or missing. More than anything, my wallet is thanking me.

Tammy’s is fast and affordable. They do the best alterations for the price with a ridiculously fast turn around. I brought in a pair of pants to be hemmed on Saturday and they were ready on Monday — weekend service is highly valued for me.
I have also never had an item of clothing ruined here.

Well, I guess I’m the second customer in 15 years who is unhappy with their service. (Maybe they just don’t like people named Lee?) I took a pillow there to be dry cleaned and they lost it, and lost any record that I had dropped it off. (And no, I am not mistaken — that was definitely where I dropped it off.) They weren’t particularly helpful in figuring out what happened, either. I won’t be going back.
Oh well, at least I learned a lesson: Don’t leave the cleaners without a claim tag.

My dry cleaning bill usually consists of men’s shirts, so this is the basis by which I judge a dry cleaner. Do they get the starch correctly? Do they do crappy stuff like break buttons or drip bleach on the shirts? Do they complete the order on time? How much do they charge?
I like Tammy’s work on all of those points. The shirts were ready before the 5pm-​the-​next-​day time. No missing buttons, shirts in good condition. They charge $ 1.45 or so per shirt, which is a pretty decent price. You can get shirts done for cheaper at other places with coupons and stuff, but as a standard rate, Tammy’s is pretty good. It’s cheaper than Comet or Reid’s or Jack Brown, that’s for sure.

So I’m just a guy, and no «dry cleaner» expert. But I love Tammy’s because it is in my neighborhood and they do a REALLY good job. My clothes are always ready the next day (after 5:00 they say… but they close at 6:00 so you’d better plan accordingly).
I like it that they do the cleaning in the back (don’t send it to some huge warehouse where things tend to get lost) and I like supporting local/​small business.
I can’t really comment on the prices… haven’t shopped around… but they don’t seem bad to me.
So yeah… get your clothes dirty and visit Tammy.
