Morgan cut my hair and my 16 year old son’s and did a great job on both. Although not a barber(so no straight razor shave), she really knows how to give a men’s cut. Great attention to detail. Kind of quiet but friendly and nice. Definitely will try her again.

Tarrytown Barber is a great place for hair cut! Very convenient. Michelle & Vanessa are the best!

I despise haircuts. I dread getting a haircut for weeks and usually hate it for weeks afterward. Now that you know how I really feel about haircuts, Tarrytown Barber Shop is the only place in Austin I get my hurr did. They do a really solid job and take their time. Just friendly barbers with skills in a relaxing environment. **a bit pricey for my student budget but worth it**

Wonderful neighborhood barber shop. Highly competent barbers, quiet friendly atmosphere. Pristine cleanliness. And I got a great cut for a very reasonable price. Looking forward to my next cut. Also parking is not a problem.

No wait, clean and Mark did a great job! He took much more time with the cut than I am used to(in a good way) in a barbershop. Pleasantly surprised! ***Update to other review: cut was $ 25.

Under new ownership since August 2011. Catherine did a great job on my 12 year old son’s hair — an excellent, low-impact hair cut! We will definitely be back.

They’re closed! But there’s good news. Trisha has moved to Capital City Barber Shop at 2105 Justin Lane. Same fantastic haircut. Same great service. Same shave around the ears and back. Same mustache and/or eyebrow trim. No air hose, but I won’t miss the cold air on my damp neck. All this and it’s cheaper too. To my mind, the best haircut and value in Austin.

Price for a haircut is now $ 23, and it’s good to add a tip. Great haircuts, friendly lady barbers. They take walk-ins on(I think) Wednesday and Friday, phone-in appointments on M, Tu and Th. Appointments are most convenient for most people, because you know there won’t be a very long wait. The owner(Ashley) has the chair farthest from the door, so most walk-ins will get one of the other(newer) barbers(to help them build up their own clientels). After you find a barber that you like, you can ask for her.

This is a real classic neighborhood barber shop for men. What you get here is a basic hair cut and neck shave with a razor. They also trim your eyebrows if you like. A haircut will run you $ 18. There are 4 ladies who work here and I highly recommend that you make an appointment. The place is pretty busy on most days.
