The only thing positive about the experience was that the woman who sold me my vehicle was very pleasant. Since this place is for people with very little credit or poor credit, the interest rates are understandably high. I am, however, going to be paying over $ 18,000 on a vehicle that I purchased for $ 11,000, and the Kelly Blue Book had the year make and model valued at just over $ 8,000. So when it is all said and done I will be paying more than double the value for the vehicle. But like I said, though the money I am spending is frustrating, it is understandable.
The thing that is truly terrible is the customer service. I have been making regular payments on my vehicle for 2.5 years now, and there are some very rare occasions that I have needed to push back payment a week. Every single time I have done this (3 times in all) they take the payment out on the original pay date and then will also take another payment out on the date I asked them to push the payment back to. When I call to see what is going on, I am told that it is my fault that I didn’t explain in detail that I needed to be taken off auto-​pay. I figured that would have been common sense, since I was asking to push back payment.
Other than payment issues, every other time I have reached out to Texas Auto Center I am «greeted» by someone who very obviously does not want to be working there. I am always given the absolute bare minimum in regards to the questions I have. There is no follow up, and there most certainly is no passion or care behind anything they do except to make money off people with poor or no credit.
I know that this place is most likely a last resort for people buying a car, but if you are reading this, avoid this place at all costs.

AWFUL! I would never recommend this place to anyone. I bought my first car a year and a half ago from these crooks. While I will say I haven’t had any mechanical problems with my vehicle, I still know people who have had serious problems with the car they got here. The repairs take forever, and they never get anything done promptly, their service SUCKS! The sales team and customer service temps are rude and unhelpful. I’ve been hung up on I don’t know how many times, one man even threatened to block my number because I kept calling to ask the same question that he refused to answer over and over again. They roll their eyes at you, scoff at you, talk to you like you’re dumb and really could care less about anything except getting money from you. Their cars are EXTREMELY over priced. I’ve been paying 480/​month for a car that is 9 years old. And they don’t even report your payments to the credit bureau so I have nothing to show for throwing away half my income for over a year. I went to them because I had little money to put down, it was my first time buying and I made the mistake of not shopping around first. I’ll never make that mistake again and I’m writing this review in the hope that whoever is reading it WILL NOT go here to buy their vehicle. You will regret it.

Just had the most wonderful experience buying my sons 1^st car. Danny the sales guy was very knowledgeable and got us a great deal on a car at payments that were reasonable and fair. We went to 3 other places but the selection and Danny’s great attitude sealed the deal. Thanks Texas auto center.

This place should be renamed. Here’s a good suggestion. Texas auto crooks! Or Texas auto don’t care! I’ve given them a chance to make things right and they refused. And we refuse to pay again for same repairs. I seriously think they get their parts and from a junk yard. Our next step is BBB!

I don’t recommend this place to anybody they are rude and not helpfull and if I could I would give this place No Stars!!! And if u are late just 2 days they will turn off your truck even though you call them to let them know !!! Sucky place I regret buying my truck here

this place is horrible. I purchased a car made payments for a over a year even though I had issues with the car 2 weeks after I got it. I was told it wasnt covered under their bogus warranty because it was a volkswagon. I took it in repeatedly the electrical was messed up apparently becaise someone installed the gps wrong. I took it to vw and they said the whole electrical would have to be redone. not only did they not report the payments I made on time to the credit bureaus but as soon as I surrended the vehicle back to them they were quick to report that with the wrong balance. I did my part in making my payments until the repairs were ¹⁄₃ of what I still owed on it. they should do thier part by not selling crappy cars. I have contacted and attorney and will hope for the best. as far as this business is concerned they can eat rocks!

Texas Auto center has nice cars and all but when you go pick out a car just tell them to show you the car fax!!! if i would have asked them to show me the car fax i would have never gotten the car from them! My car has been in 3 accidents ugh!!! that’s bad business if a car has been in accidents that many times should be a law don’t put the car on the lott to sell… other then that the service is ok!
