Texas Indie Solar

I worked with Rene over the phone, and Blake did the installation. We had some unique requests and they were very accommodating. Blake’s attention to detail and lengthy industry experience exceeded my expectations.

I highly recommend Indie Solar. My husband bought one of those do-​it-​yourself solar kits in an effort to get us off the grid by the time the zombie apocalypse comes.
It’s 10kw, ground mounted, and has batteries as a back up (we are still connected to the grid)
Two minutes into reading the instruction manual, we quickly realized installing something like this is kind of like playing russian roulette but with a screwdriver and your breaker box.
We called several solar companies in Austin — three of which recommended we call Indie, and the other two laughed at us and asked if they could come watch us fumble with wires and screwdrivers (just kidding — they just laughed, put us on speaker to re-​explain our predicament to their entire office, in which they all laughed at us and wished us ‘good luck with that’).
Indie Solar gave us personal attention, got the job done in a reasonable time frame, and the system works like a charm.
Oh, and did I mention that they brought a tractor to get that ground mount up? A tractor? That wasn’t in the list of tools needed at all when we were purchasing the kit to begin with.
