The Cake Plate

I was scrambling for my daughter’s bday cake as my baker backed out last minute;
Cake Plate responded to my random facebook message within 30 minutes on a Sunday and found a way to make a cake for me last minute.
Prompt emails, design exactly what I asked for, very professional!
Cake was moist/​delish…

We were referred to The Cake Plate for our wedding cake after our initial bakery closed their doors. We were nervous because we live out of town so we could not just run by and work out all of the details but Scott took great care of us and his team ensured us that we need not worry (and they were right!). We met with Scott about 6 weeks before our wedding to hammer out the details and the final products were EXACTLY what we had wanted. The team at The Cake Plate did a phenomenal job and everyone LOVED the chocolate pecan praline grooms cake (the Mexican Vanilla brides cake was delicious, too, but the pecan praline center of the grooms cake just can’t be beat!).

I’m a big fan of The Cake Plate. I have ordered custom cakes for birthday parties and other special events. They are always beautifully decorated and taste amazing/​moist. I have also worked with them to provide desserts for our restaurant. Again, never disappointed. And, they are located in my neighborhood which is just a bonus!

Scott & the team were phenomenal in producing our 2 gorgeous wedding cakes — a topsy-​turvey cake with Mexican Vanilla and Italian Cream layers and a square grooms cake with chocolate peanut butter layers and a jeep on top with our dog in the window!
When we first met with Scott he showed us examples of cakes he had previously created and helped talk us through exactly what we were looking for. We got to try lots of different cake flavors to help us decide which ones to go with. Scott sent sketches of his ideas until we decided on the right «look» for each of our cakes.
Not only are the cakes works of art, but they taste AH-​Mazing which is a rare combo it seems like! All of our guests raved about how tasty (and not dry!) the cakes were.
The Cake Plate even sells Cake Jars which are great for gifts, or just to try awesome new flavors.

My family is gluten free and The Cake Plate makes the best gluten free cakes and cupcakes I have had!

DELICIOUS!!! Mexican vanilla wedding cake is my favorite! The white cake is more moist than the chocolate (at least the ones i’ve gotten the chance to try) also the orange cream is yummy too!

Once again, Scott did a great job. I ordered over the phone, and the cake was exactly like I had envisioned. Very easy to pay online and delivery was on-​time!
