The Landmark

This review is for the Landmark Lobby Bar and Grill, not the similarly named Landmark Restaurant on the lower level.
I visited on a Sunday afternoon while killing time waiting for a conference to start. I found the bar waitstaff to be unfriendly and brusque in their service. I was hungry, but their «What do you want?» attitude made me reevaluate.
This is definitely not a place with an Austin vibe. If one were to judge our city’s hospitality solely by this venue, one might never come back.
Expensive, small, and impotent beverages added insult to injury. A bill was not presented for payment; they simply took my Jackson and gave $ 8 in return, which means one house margarita plus a soda were $ 12.
Only consider this place if you’re staying at the Sheraton and have no possible means of escape.
