The Sidekick Store

This is the little brother of Austin Comics on Lamar near the triangle. It truly is a sidekick to the main store, and it’s fitting that it’s located behind the main store, kind of tucked away so only the truly adventurous stumble upon it. It has a lot of cool stuff, so be sure to make the trip. There are tons and tons of comics in this store. They are in boxes, on walls, there’s probably even some spread around the floor… lots of comics. The staff will help you if you ask or look lost, but they will also leave you alone if you don’t need help, which I really like. Let me shop and browse, but be there if I need something or have a question, perfect. To be honest, I’m not really a huge comic guy, I like them, but I’m not rabid about it. But I do like collectables and I’m always on the lookout for unique plush toys and other things like that for gifts. This place has them, and they are a great compliment to the massive collection in the big brother store. I found some cool things here and I will definitely return. I posted a picture of the hours, they are open on Saturday and Sunday, but they are closed on Monday and Tuesday. If comics and collectables are your thing, you will enjoy this place.

I love this store! I love the prices, and I love that this new location is literally right around the corner of the main store.
The only reason that I took a star away is because some comics have a nice obnoxious tear on the cover. I know it is superficial, but if it doesn’t matter to you, this is your place! Unfortunately, I’m picky.
