My experience of this property management group comes from managing an investment I had in a video game company that was officed in suites at the Four Points Centre. The company had to be liquidated for other reasons last year, but that’s a different story. What I wanted to say is that on each visit I made to the Four Points Centre, I was a bit surprised by some of the overzealous policing in place of the tenants. For instance, at the typical end-of-day times, the security guard for the property is instructed to position himself with an orange cone on one side of a median that divides the entrance and exit of the parking garage so as to block cars exiting through the ‘entrance’ side of the median. I’m not entirely sure why there’s a median there in the first place, but it seems a bit obsessive that Thomas Properties would think it necessary to create a human barrier to such insignificant scofflawism. If I had worked there, it would certainly annoy me.
