Good Food and location. The staff there is always friendly. The Austin and California club has great taste. Not overwhelming, but has all the favor that you need to enjoy the sandwich. The New York Italian is as good as I’ve had, comparing it to the other local establishments.

Always good and consistent, my go-to for subs! Not sure how people can eat Subway after eating here. 1. It’s local 2. It is fresh 3. No Jared

LOVELOVELOVE Thunder Cloud Subs! The employees are amazing and super friendly. It’s a comfortable environment and very Austiny. Ever time my son wants a sandwich, it HAS to be from here.

It’s not really good or bad here. The food just has no taste. If you want something tasty I recommend picking out a bag of chips. The gluten free bread is dry and mealy. I wish I had something positive to say about this local chain, but I don’t.

This is the worst Thundercloud location I have ever been too. I felt so bad for the 2 guys working there last Thursday 4⁄1 when they were offering the ham sub special. There was a line all the way around the store and they could have used some extra help. I noticed a really bad odor near the front of the restaurant. I will say that the staff were very friendly especially considering how overwhelmed they were. I’ve never been impressed with the quality of the sandwiches at this location and I keep telling myself that I wont go back, but the location is convenient. I suggest having extra staff on days when you offer big specials.

Two large ham sandwiches on wheat for about $ 3? YES. This is the 1975 price, by the way. Each Wednesday this month they’re offering old-timey pricing on a selected sub. I haven’t been to Thudercloud much lately. I’ve opted to go to Subway a few times because they’re within walking distance of work. But Thudercloud really is better. It just tastes fresher, and you still feel like you’re in Austin when you step inside. I’ll be here every Wednesday this month, that’s for sure.

Corn-green chile bisque frito pie was DELICIOUS as a vegetarian comfort food. The bisque has a bit of a bite to it, but not too much, and the fritos are salty but the bisque is not, so together they are great. Order it with all the veggies on it. I wolfed it down as quick as anything. The Nada Chicken sandwich was on sale when I went, and was also a good choice. As they say, good for meat-eaters and vegetarians alike. My other go-to sandwich is the veggie delight with cream cheese and extra thunder sauce. The combination of the soft cream cheese with sprouts and vinegary thunder sauce is craveable. This location just seems better than most. The workers are attentive and polite, and they even have specials which can only be found at this location. Seems like the combination of a sandwich-maker who has enthusiasm for their work, and a manager who is open, perhaps?

I’ve never been a big fan of Thundercloud subs, but gave it another try this past week in a pinch. I got the Austin club, and while it wasn’t amazing, The sandwiches weren’t as bad as I remember making them out to be. The bread is pretty average, and the veggies are pretty fresh, but not the most flavorful. It really is just an average sub in my opinion, without anything to set it apart flavorwise. They do offer gluten free bread and all that sort of hippy dippy stuff if that’s what you’re into, but as far as an especially delicious, or unique sandwich you’re going to have to look elsewhere. If you’re in a hurry for a quick bite, and there’s one around, it’s not a bad option though. The service at least, seemed very friendly at this location.

I had a veggie delight and thought it was OK. I chose the hummus and so it was just too mushy for me but I think the other sandwiches are probably better. It seems like a great place of business — the woman who greeted me was very friendly and has a ‘mom and pop’ feel. Several friends of mine rave about it, too. If there were other vegetarian options for me then I would go back. But maybe next time I’ll just get a smoothie :)

This is my favorite Thundercloud location! Besides the fact that I live half a mile away, the staff is always super friendly when I call my order in and when I pick up. My food is always ready when I get there and always right. I always get an Austin Club on wheat and hubby gets California Club on wheat. Yummmm! Don’t forget your jalapeño chips!

As I take over the Dukedomshipness of my local Thundercloud Subs, I guess I owe it a review. As the resident cheapskate, I usually get a «small weekly special, on wheat». Unless it’s tuna. Cause. ewwww… Tuna. But I have been known to get an Office Special(the only egg salad in town I’ve ever liked, with bacon added) on consecutive days. I always feel dumb spending $$$ on a sandwich when«you could make a sandwich yourself at home». But I have TRIED to duplicate that egg salad at home, and I just can’t. The Nada Chicken(vegetarian) is pretty solid, even for a meat eater like me. The avocado is always fresh(NOTE: It’s mashed, not sliced). And they have things like green chiles(seasonally) which is nice. My wife would like a toaster there, and I wouldn’t mind if they stopped having styro cups(please let me know when they do). I’ve always had fast, accurate service here, even when the line gets to the door, and I admit that it was a little intimidating at first until I got used to the sequence of the questions they ask when building your sandwich. But I wanted to point out today’s excellent service from manager Rachel. They source their bread(at least at this location) from The New World Bakery in Kyle, including gluten free which they’ve only carried about six weeks now. However, they only get a set number of the GF every day. Today by 1pm. they were already out. Rachel stepped in, as the counter guy was breaking the bad news, and offered an agreeable alternative so that my poor celiac wife«didn’t need to go hungry». Good job, Rachel! As much as I love the Office Favorite, I’d never 5-star a place based on one sandwich alone(looking at you, «Hey… You Gonna Eat or What?»). But you’re really close, local Parmer/MoPac Thundercloud…

So I’ve never been drawn to the whole thundercloud subs thing. And this is my first time here but if they make all sandwiches like they do the chicken salad sandwich, then I’m a fan! It was delicious!!! The staff is so friendly and inviting as soon as you walk in the door they’re ready to serve you. Good job guys!

Get the Chicken Salad sandwich. It rock’s. Service was a little slow but it’s worth the wait folks. Please tip the chefs.

I ordered an Austin Club(Chicken, Bacon and Avocado) and got a Roast Beef with Avocado instead, but the service was so damn friendly, I didn’t really care. The(wrong) sandwich wasn’t half bad either. And let’s be honest, I probably didn’t need to eat that bacon anyway! Check them out: Great service and great subs, even if you don’t get the one you ordered!

Yesterday was my first time eating at a Thundercloud Subs, as a friend is on a Paleo diet and she knew that she could get a great salad there — and her salad did look really good! I got a full turkey sub and it was pretty good. The whole wheat bread was excellent, all the veggies and guacamole were fresh — all in all a pretty great sandwich. The only things that I didn’t like about Thundercloud was up at the counter, being the first time I had been there it seemed a little hectic. There wasn’t a defined line, and it was really odd that the standard sandwiches seemed to come with lettuce and you had to add on almost everything else — cheese, veggies.etc. etc. I spent just over $ 8 not including tip for my sandwich and an unsweet iced tea. This seemed a bit high to me, considering Subway’s prices. I know Thundercloud isn’t a giant chain like Subway but it just took me by surprise a little. All in all though, a pretty good experience. I’d like to go back and try more things.

It is very unappetizing to watch the person making your sandwich touch everything with their bare hands. Please put on some gloves when touching my food!

Not 5 Stars because of employees seeming to be distracted. The employees seem to get distracted by whatever that other stuff they’re doing is. With that said, the Classic Club I had was great. really well made with lots of bacon. It’s nice to find a good sandwich shop in an unexpected location. I can go to Fry’s Electronics, then come here to unwind a bit.

Pros: –Will not cater to the d-bag fucktards who go through life thinking it’s acceptable to ignore someone because you’re on your fucking cell phone. BRAVO!!! –Also love their egg salad, which is super delicious and can’t be found decently made anywhere else, and the carrot cake? OMG, someone please revive me… I’ve died and gone to heaven! –The picture of Ice Cube on the fountain where one gets ice for their drink cracks me up everytime I see it! Cons: –They don’t wear gloves when making sandwiches, and that weirds me out to an extreme. I don’t care how fastidiously one washes their hands… fingernails harbor germs regardless!!! Just gross. –The music is almost always off-putting, and usually quite vulgar. I don’t really mind vulgarity per se, but children tend to… and I have 2 of those. Great décor, friendly staff, and terrific sandwiches! Almost a 4-star experience… just please, for the love of all that is holy, PUTONSOMEGLOVES! I beg of you!

After driving around the enormous parking lot for 10 minutes, I finally found T-Cloud hidden away up against the highway. I can’t believe that T-Cloud can be staffed this far north, but I guess even bohemians do live up here. From the outside, this location looks a little too corporate, but it’s a T-Cloud for sure. I could tell when this customer walked in with sunglasses on… Employee: Can I help you? [no response] Sir, can I help you? [delayed response] Customer: Oh yea… Employee: Too bright in here? [commenting about obviously stoned customer’s sunglasses] Customer: Nah man, it’s just too early [umm, 1:30pm is early in whose world?] Anyhoo, I got my grub on and it was good. 4⁄5
