The Trail of Lights gave me the need to use this very versatile stadium complex this time. As usual … it adequately served its purpose and provided me the means to NOT drive to Zilker Park on my own to see the wonderful annual show of lights. Thanks old friend.

I find this stadium to be an alarming aehh. I saw this stadium from the highway more times than I can remember and when I got the chance to go to the Bowie High School Homecoming game I thought, dang this will be cool to check out. Turns out it was underwhelming. I mean, come on its a stadium, its got the scoreboard, the field, the seats etc. I was just expecting a little more I guess. I think that this place has fallen a little into disrepair over the years. Mostly when walking in you can see that the chain link fences are pretty bad. Patch work is here and there but its kinda leaning and torn up. The stadium entrance is also very lack luster. It was pretty much just some words painted the side of a cinderblock building that looked a little dirty. They had two sides but were only using one and it was a little bottle necky. Being from a big city with lots of tax dollars I expected more. My little town in Kerrville has a WAY better stadium than this one which really surprised me. Also, they may not be set up to take debit there, because everything was cash, which was super annoying.

I go there every year and I can see the changes that they are making. It is starting to become a great little place to hang at. Going to the pow wow festival!
