Totally Caked Up

I am a bride that also got taken by Totally Caked Up. In the grand scheme of life cake is not that big of a deal. Compared to other posts and pictures I do not feel as bad as I did on my wedding day. However, I do feel like I over paid for what I got. We sent photos and spoke to Natalie about what we wanted. When I saw the cake I was really disappointed. The cake looked very unprofessional. It was nothing like the photos we provided. Additionally, there was not enough cake for our guest. We had many guests who did not get a piece of cake. Overall I overpaid for what I got. I had a diamond wedding with a penny cake. The pictures on their website could not be their work.
The cake had yellow on it and my colors were sage green, purple and silver. I do not like yellow. The cake was on a piece of card board with tin foil around. It doesn’t equal a silver cake stand which is what we were promised.
We doubt we will get our 1^st Anniversary cake which mean we really over paid. We are so sad this has tarnished out day. Shame on you Totally Caked Up for playing with people emotions on their important days! All future brides please stay away.
Their website is now down so maybe the heat has gotten to hot for them to stay in business.

The cake business isn’t too complicated. It’s pretty much runs like this.
Bake a cake. (production)
Deliver it. (transportation)
Check to see if everyone is happy. (customer service)
This is how Totally Caked Up aka «Totally F’d Up» did it:
–300 people at a wedding
–No wedding cake from Totally Caked Up
–No one returned a call the day of the wedding. (Phone was in oven)
–Returned call a few days later with an explanation. (Wedding is over)
–Threatening to sue poor bride’s family! (Customer service)
They messed up at Step 1 or maybe 2. Can’t tell as we never saw a cake.
