Trim & Proper Mowing and Landscaping

Randall and I had an appointment this morning for him to give me an estimate today. I called him twice and sent him a text message. It is upsetting because we all use Unilocal to find the best and Randall was not the best today. He wasn’t even acceptable.
He may have been busy, but you still don’t run any business like this. If you can’t keep your commitments as a business owner, you do your best to inform your would be clients. I should not have had to make the call to find out if he was coming. He should have called me to tell me in advance that he wasn’t coming.
Randall was not trim, and definitely not proper today.

Randall did a great job putting in flower beds and trimming my tree and hedges! Very reasonable on price and great execution and choice of plants. I could not be happier!

I want to thank the amazing owner at Trim and Proper. After all of the flooding that happened in the last few days, I needed to get someone over to my parents house to clean it up and make it safe for them to walk around yard. Although I am from Austin (and totally miss it!), I live in Seattle but try to help my parents as much as I can by finding the right people who can help them when I can’t. I called around to several different companies who had the increasing attitude of we-​are-​too-​busy-​for-​people-​who-​only-​want-​one-​service (ie forget about old folks or people who can’t afford weekly or bi-​weekly service and go for all of the up-​and-​coming rich folk who are eroding core Austin people!) Even tho Trim and Proper owner was extremely busy, he returned my call promptly and even tho my parents are outside of his working area, he took a few hours to find someone reputable around them that he trusted and recommended someone who was so amazing and kind and gracious and prompt. I contacted his reference and my parents and I were overwhelming pleased with his recommendation – honest guy, who did the work the SAME DAY! and is going to now come on monthly basis. Long story short (uh, kinda!), even tho I didn’t get to use Trim and Proper, if I lived in the area that he/​they worked, I would most certainly give them my business. The honesty, patience and thoughtfulness he showed when so many home-​related business services in Austin are growing increasing kurt and overblown with their pricing because of the housing explosion. He is definitely old-​school Austin that we, as current/​former (ie me) community members and as Austinites should support. Thank you so much!

I would give 6 stars if I could. Randall does an excellent job for us! He has a great attention to the detail and has a great eye on how to make my yard looking good. He is hardworking and would not leave until everything looks great. He is a pleasure to work with.

I met Trim and Proper’s Randall twice to do some landscaping in our back yard. When we finally decided it was time to get the job done, he came over and we calculated how much flagstone we would need. I gave him $ 500 to get the stones so he can start the job. Just when I thought that he would be starting, he said that he had forgotten that he was going away. After about 10 days, since I hadn’t heard from him, I called him up and he sent me an email indicating that he had gotten hurt at a job and couldn’t tell me if or when he would do our yard. At this point I asked for our money back, and we mutually decided this was best. After about 2 weeks he gave our money back.

Over a year later and he is still doing an excellent job.
Super nice guy that goes above and beyond expectations.

Randall and his assistant worked on our yard, trees, roof, etc,. all day yesterday and absolutely transformed our overgrown, leaf-​strewn shaggy yard into a light-​fiiled, welcoming lawn, making everything «trim and proper» while still maintaining our South Austin (funky) appeal. I am inspired to try to maintain the wonderful sense of order that they bought to our yard (but more likely, will just call on them again.) We HIGHLY recommend them!

Randall at Trim and Proper came and cleaned up our yard, cut down and hauled off trees, took out weeds, cleaned up a ton of leaves for a very reasonable price… they rock! We will definitely use them again and recommend them to everyone!

Randall has done an amazing job working with our clients to either get their landscaping in tip top shape for selling their home, or making it theirs after they move in. He’s prompt, courteous and does quick and thorough job.

I just bought a new house and the yard needed a lot of TLC. Randall did such an AMAZING job bringing the yard back to life! He laid five pallets of grass and trimmed a truckload of trees in the front and back. He is very friendly and knowledgeable, he got the job done quickly, and his prices are very reasonable!
Randall will definitely be my go to guy whenever I need some yard work done! I HIGHLY recommend him!
