The entire office staff is very friendly and helpful. I usually enjoyed my visits from 2÷10÷14 to 4÷24÷14. I initially saw small improvements from the intense pain but then the pain got worse again. I came in regularly as advised 3 times a week for 8 weeks. I was always on time or early and constantly had to wait from just a few minutes up to 20 minutes… I understand nature of the business but it was frustrating that most of the time they were «running behind» and for that reason I recommend bringing a book.
After 8 weeks I was getting concerned & asked if I should see a physical therapist or an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in spine injuries since the pain was getting worse and the chiro visits didn’t seem to be helping. Dr Mike did not agree with surgery as the first option, well of course, neither did I! I wanted to get better through back adjustments and/​or physical therapy. Dr Mike did not encourage any alternative treatment, not even physical therapy which is not invasive, or suggest any other options even though the adjustments were no longer helping and my condition was getting worse. I finally went to an orthopedic surgeon on my own, got an MRI, did 3 months of physical therapy and saw significant improvement. 8 months later I am finally running again! I have had 2 back injections of steroids that have helped the inflammation as well while I got the discs healthy enough to start exercising properly for a back injury. Drinking water and exercising is very important for your back health and I learned so many other helpful (non-​invasive) tools from my physical therapist. So in conclusion I think if a chiro will help you Dr Mike is great for that! The office is convenient and the staff is wonderful and flexible. But if you have a serious back problem and the back adjustments are not helping, you need to take control of the situation and see a doctor to get more serious treatment. I am so glad I did because I finally have relief.
My husband sees Dr Mike’s daughter and loves her so again, if you need back adjustments only then this is a good place, I was just disappointed that I did not get a recommendation to seek more serious treatment sooner and lived with pain longer than I had to.
Keep in mind too that doctors and chiropractors do not work together so take each one’s advice with a grain of salt. They both have good treatment options that should be blended and not be mutually exclusive.
