Walking into this place made me a bit uncomfortable as someone who rarely goes to malls. I don’t expect Disney smiles but I got the vibe the dude there was too cool to care. The female employee(manager) was sweet once I engaged her, telling her how I really was wanting a specific pair, how I rarely buy anything new so I was excited, and answering my sizing questions. The oy other pair of Vans I have were hand me downs and stretched quickly even though they were about a size and a half too big to begin with. This is all relevant because I was trying to decide between a 5, my regular size, and a 6. I bought the 5 and decided I would wear them while I walked downstairs and saw a movie, and if by the end of the movie they were still comfortable, I wouldn’t exchange them. My main wish is that she had told me about the exchange policy when I checked out, knowing that I was trying to figure out if that size would work, because the store I did end up exchanging them at almost didn’t take them back.

I love the shoes they have here. They did not have the mustache she’s a wanted in person, but they were able to order them for me there, have it shipped from the warehouse and have them shipped to my house. I love the shoes and they fit great. My boyfriend is very picky on the other hand, so when it comes to shoe shopping there he has a hard time finding shoes. Other than his pickiness they have a great selection of shoes and every time I’ve been there the staff is really great.

Highly disappointed with the Vans store at Barton Creek Mall. When i walked in the guy folding shirts hardly looked up and said nothing, the sales girl just stood in the way saying nothing and continued to say nothing when I said excuse me to get by. You always greet customers and actively be aware of your surroundings and customers when working retail. They really failed in customer service. I bought a boys size 6 shoe, that was listed at $ 35 and was charged $ 45. When I broached the subject with the sales girl she didn’t beleive me, so I showed her. Boys shoes are 3.5 to 6. She got her manager, who couldn’t help, so he got another manager then he didn’t believe me either. He told me the shoe I looked at on display was a size 2. My question is, then why is it in the boys section? What a dispicable place, they wouldn’t let the lady next to me return a pair of shoes from the store from Lakeline Mall. Not going to this store again.
