I love this course! It’s a great medium skilled course for those learning or those who want to improve their game. The landscape is always clean and kept. I go here at least once a month. One thing that bothers me is the construction of the apartment complex literally right on top of the course. It made one of the holes impossible to play. The put up a fence blocking the fairway and seemed to have removed the hole itself. I really hope that gets fixed soon. Otherwise, it is one of my favorite courses in the austin area.

I liked this course better before they shut down several holes for construction etc. It is a relatively simple course with decent scenery and a moderate difficulty level. 99% of the holes aren’t very long, so if you’re a distance thrower you should probably look elsewhere! Watch out for the water hazard which is the creek that runs through the center of the course! Can get pretty muddy and flooded after it rains. A lot of the maps are confusing because they’ll show two holes when there is only one, etc. I aced hole 17 with my trusty 180g Champion ROC3, 2x Paul McBeth edition on May 27, 2015! :D

Great 18-Hole Disc Golf Course that will challenge beginners and experienced players. It is tucked away along the green belt and makes a great use of the limited space. Leave you big arm at home and bring your technical game to play here. This is a North Austin favorite among many disc golfers and has been for many years. They have weekly events here during the weekdays and on weekends. You can come here and find yourself playing with local pro’s, world champions, or just another person starting out into the sport of disc golf. The Wells Branch MUD and the Wells Branch Disc Golf Club really do their best to keep the maintenance up on this course. It stays busy, so that requires a lot of upkeep. The good thing about the high traffic is that it keeps the vandalism to a minimum and the local residents appreciate the extra sets of eyes and security that disc golfers provide as they walk the course and have a good time. The water comes into play quite often, so ensure you watch your plastic landing and for any errant rolls into the creek. Some portions of the creek are steep and deep, so don’t risk injury to get your plastic. Ask around, probably one of the locals has a retriever so that can help you pull it out. If you do get near the creek or the woods, be gentle with the flora and fauna. Don’t whack trees because you want to. Keep the park clean and manicured, additionally, watch for poison oak/sumac in the warmer months. They do their best to remove it, but they cannot get it all. Overall, its a fun course to practice you game and technical shots. It’s only about 1.8 miles long and could easily be a lunch time round for players if the crowds are low. Quick course with fun shots. Now stop reading about it and GOPLAYIT!
