I made a BMW service appointment a couple of weeks ago, since I needed an expensive component replaced I was asked to place a deposit on the item since it was not in stock, I had no issue with that, the component is quite expensive and I was already aware that on-​hand supplies were limited.
I planned to arrive at 9:00 so that I had the best chance of getting the work done before nightfall, it’s not a quarter to 4:00 and I’ve just been told to expect another 45 minutes or so so I am on track.
Check In — My bike was checked in by Drew who drew (no relation) up a repair order and briefed me on it, he pointed out the prior $ 1,000 deposit for the required parts and had me approve the repairs based on the anticipated total cost. The repair cost was about what I anticipated.
Waiting Area — There is a customer waiting area with free WiFi which I am currently using. I located the WiFi password on the glass coffee table. There are six individual chairs and a sofa which seats three adults so there is space for nine. There is a movie-​style popcorn maker and a pair of vending machine in the hallway enroute to the waiting area. I just bought a Coke and the machine acted a bit flaky, an employee who happened to be nearby knew some trick and dropped a penny into the coin slot, it fell straight through but seemed to trick the machine into working. Not sure what’s going on there. The sodas are listed as 80 cents each and although I paid with a crisp dollar bill, I only received a nickel in change — whatever, my drink is cold so I’m happy. There is an option to pay by credit card, I’m not sure if the penny trick would work with that as well, I hope to be gone before there is a need to find out. There are no televisions but there is some soft top 40/​Rock playing in the background, not too low, not too loud. Correction, there ARE a few flat screen televisions around the showroom but they are displaying motorcycle videos for sales purposes, not television shows.
Showroom/​Parts — The showroom here is impressive, lots of bikes, ATVs and motorcycle accessories. There is literally a wall of helmets! lots of sunglasses, gloves and two large parts departments. There are vests and jackets galore, all shapes and sizes. Besides parts and accessories, this shop seems to be about 25% BMW and 65% Triumph, Hondas, Suzukis, Yamahas and 10% ATVs and SeaDoos.
Weapons Restrictions — There is a 30.07 sign on the entrance doors which prohibits open carry, however concealed carry is NOT prohibited. For anyone new to my reviews, I carry a licensed concealed weapon and as a service to others I have begun adding any noted weapons restrictions to my Unilocal reviews. Regardless your stance on Second Amendment rights, I’d like to ask others to do the same during their reviews, for the benefit of all involved, thank you.
Follow Up — Ok, I didn’t get my bike back until just after 5:00, yes, that made for a long day but as I stood in the customer area watching the Quality Control technician give my bike the once over I thought to myself — I would rather the maintenance personnel took their time and complete the repairs properly than find out at 80 MPH that they had not. Motorcycle maintenance, like brain surgery, probably should not be rushed.
And one last comment, I WAS happy with the final bill which was about $ 200 cheaper than the estimate that I received this morning. One of the reasons I scheduled my appointment at this time was that I had received a 25% off coupon for BMW parts in the mail and when applied to my overall service bill today, resulted in more than a $ 300 savings! Anyone who has paid for motorcycle repairs knows that they are not cheap so every little bit helps :-)

I must concur with the other negative reviews. I went in and bought several items for a Polaris Ranger. One of the items had to be special ordered. I received an email stating that it was ready for pick up. I was excited that it came before Christmas so the next day (Christmas Eve) I sent my husband on the 40 minute drive to pick it up. It wasn’t there, apparently it hadn’t come it. This baffled me since I got an email saying it had arrived the day before. Though I am disappointed about the item not being there and that my husband drove 40 minutes to get it. What I am really upset about is the treatment I received when I called to find out what had happened. When I asked to speak to a manager at first the receptionist said ok, then suddenly the manager was not working that day and no one else was available for me to talk to. She then hung up on me. I called back several times and got «disconnected.» How about a nice apology and an offer to deliver it once it arrives? I won’t be purchasing anything here again.

These folks have a nice selection of bikes but one has to wonder how they stay in business? Tried to schedule an appointment for service and left message upon message without a return call. Called the general manager to seek help to schedule a service appointment and he would not return the call. Typical dealer who promises great service but once you buy they forget those promises. I will NEVER buy another product from them.

These guys suck. They’ll over charge you on a scooter and as soon as it doesn’t start up they’ll tell you that someone «hotwired» it because they’re so daft they can’t even understand a Honda scooter. DO NOT GO HERE. They’re rude and scummy and you’d be better off driving to Georgetown or somewhere else.

I have been looking at motorcycles for a while now and I decided to take a look at the Gsxr 750. I stopped into Woods a few days ago and was met by Brian, who was a pleasure to work with. He did not pressure or hassle me, but was close by and answered all my questions in a polite and friendly manner. He helped me to schedule a test ride for the following morning, so the next day I came up and rode this amazing motorcycle! Brian was very helpful and I would recommend anyone work with him on your next purchase. I ended up buying a Ducati 899 instead of the Gsxr, but Brian was so awesome to work with that I still felt I had to write this review.

Under new management who go up and beyond! Only dealership in Texas that ordered a pair of Schuberth M1 helmets for me to try on and didn’t require a deposit. Roland Cortez was extremely knowledgeable about the proper fit as Schuberth helmets are very unique in their sizing. Consequently I purchased not only a new helmet but the Schuberth SRC communication system. Sales staff even took the time to show me the finer points of a BMW R 1200 GS which is a really innovative and nice bike coming from a life long HD rider!

These guys are usually helpful but are also usually extremely rude and pushy. Called today to ask a quick question and the guy (Bert) basically hung up on me once he realized that my call wasn’t going to lead to a sale. Glad I moved down to Kyle where there are MUCH better options (Kent and Mitchell Motorsports… If you have the option, go to Mitchell instead!)

I went in to get a helmet and look at the new BMW and Triumph bikes. The sales people seemed too busy to help so I picked out a helmet and spent a few minutes I the parking lot before showing the helmet to my kid who hated it. So I tried to go back in and trade or return it and was told I had to keep it and it was a 400 $ mistake! I asked for a manager quietly and was told no so I screamed and made a scene getting my refund but feeling so upset I debated on other bike makers to avoid ever going back to woods again. Horrible experience! I went back Saturday and was yet again not taken seriously on a BMW purchase so after about an hour of no service I went to Cowboy Harley Davidson and they treated me with respect and I came home with a much better feeling of having made a buy from a dealer that wouldn’t rip me off.

Stay away. The truth in lending, putting the correct APR, monthly payment and total on the agreement BEFORE you sign the deal, was incorrect. They are dishonest and will pick the gold off a dead man’s teeth.

I bought a bike here a few months ago and they really should not be in business. They were pleasant and friendly at first, but its all just a façade when you go home and realize they were dishonest, back stabbing, low life scums that only care about milking you for every penny you have, like the toilet poop scum you scrub and flush, like a cockroach!
I’d recommend looking for a store that has good reviews even if it’s out of town, but if you truly have no other place to buy a motorcycle, make sure you do your research on freight and prep fees and read any fine print on credit line apps.

They really are OK. I had a very bad experience with one guy-​I bought a motorcycle from their sister store, Lone Star Triumph/​BMW, then ordered a Bell helmet on which they gave me a 15% discount since I bought a motorcycle. It took a very long time to come in, and I wanted to ride, so I went in to buy another helmet while waiting for the first one to come in. I said that I’d like the same small discount that they’d given me on the first helmet to apply to the second one also since it hadn’t come in when promised and one assistant manager said, «No», he couldn’t do that. I said, «Look, I just spent a huge amount of money with your company, and will spend lots more over the next year, the helmet has not come in when promised, and I just want the same discount, 15%» He offered 10%, and refused to budge. I said, «That is a poor decision to lose a great customer…» over what amounted to $ 20. Finally a more senior manager agreed. Just stupid decision, but I understand you’re going to have some bozos in a place like that. Hopefully he learned. But I doubt it. There were several other great guys in there though. Interesting.

I really wish Unilocal would allow me to rate 0 stars. I do not usually give negative reviews unless there are extreme circumstances and I consider this to be exactly that. I need to get a preventative maintenance rebuild of a supercharger done on my jet ski. I called Woods late last year and was quoted around approximately $ 500. I didn’t end up getting the service done then so got a new quote three weeks ago while getting quotes from 5 local shops to see who was priced best while also taking into account their service record/​reviews. I spoke to Michael at Woods and he said he didn’t know but would check and call me back. He called back and said it would be about $ 550 – 600 depending on parts. I knew it was peak season so the increase was expected. I called back three weeks later and told him who I was and he said he remembered me and I mentioned his quote and made an apt for the following week. A day later I decided to call to see how long the service would take and during the conversation with Michael, I asked to confirm a price to see if it would be closer to $ 550 or $ 600. He said he needed to speak to his technician and get back to me. He emailed me a written estimate two days later (keep in-​mind this interaction never would have happened before the repairs were performed if I hadn’t called back to see how long the repairs would tak) for $ 1200. He said he quoted it wrong and made a mistake and I mentioned that I was given a similar quote twice and made an appointment based off that and that I wasn’t happy with the change and needed to speak to the manager. This was Monday and he said the manager was out sick and the foreman was out too but he would talk to him and get back to me. I called again Tuesday (this was the day I was supposed to have my appointment if they didn’t double the price) to see if he heard anything and he said he was still out. I told him to please keep me informed but he said I should hear back soon. I emailed the main service email address Wednesday asking for the manager and shop foreman’s contact information as I had decided that this shady individual was going to continue jerking me around and I need to speak to someone higher up. Its Friday now and I haven’t received an email or a phone call from them and all I can get when I call is an indefinite hold in their service dept and try to reach the manager.
If you want to deal with dishonesty and poor service, I recommend you give these guys a call!

Wish I could give the service center negative stars. It’s an absolute nightmare. Unbelievable, horrible, unprofessional, disorganized, and rude customer service. The actual «repair» work hardly even qualifies as a repair. What kind of mechanic leaves dripped and dried silicone oozing down the cylinder from a head gasket repair? It’s that acceptable quality of work that’s terrifying to think what the inside looks like. I’ve tried their service center 3 times. Everytime was worse than before. If they offered to repair everything for free and to pay me $ 1000.00 I’d laugh and walk away. No way ever again. I will say the service center manager tries his best and his efforts should be noted but no one person can fix that place.

I bought a Kawasaki Ultra 150 from here years ago and had the worst experience ever and knew I would never come back, just bored looking at all the Unilocal reviews and see I’m not the only one that feels this way. I looked at Central Tx Powersports and they have much better reviews, gonna be in the market for a Rzr 1000 xp4 soon and know the first place I’ll be going.

Just bought a jet ski here. I worked with Chad a salesman. Not even an hour after I got the jet ski home, I notice some things I did not like about it. I called Chad to see if I could swap out for a different model. He told me No, but that he would take a trade in at much lower value. What happened to «satisfaction guaranteed». I guess I’m just out 17,000 dollars. Chad did make his Commission great job Chad.

Their prices are just too high! If you go to San Antonio you can save money! I understand you have to make money but a thousand or two more for the same bike !

Reasonable pricing and shop onsite, Woods also has lots of fun events in warmer months. It’s true, service seems slow at times (both retail and in the service area), but I almost wonder if it’s staffing — so busy it’s hard to keep up, you know?

It took a little back and forth, but the dealership gave me a price I felt comfortable and from their the transaction was smoot sailing.
The deal would not have happend if the sales guy had not done such a great job.

Laziness kills. I was in the market for a new bike and had my eye on a Suzuki V-​Strom. The only ones they had were banged up used models so I took a look at other bikes.
Long story short, I found what I wanted, but not after sitting around for hours. How long does it take to run credit checks?
It’s the same as most reviewers here had experienced. Typical high pressure salesmen. They offered me next to nothing for my old bike, but I ended up selling it on Craigslist for over twice what they offered. Running credit check after credit check, just to go with Honda’s financing offer, which was the best anyway.
Doesn’t seem too bad so far, but they weren’t done with me once the sale went through. Apparently they didn’t tell me who checked my credit, so I got a few letters from mystery companies saying my application was rejected until I found out it was from a local credit union. Also, they would call me every month or so on my work phone and ask if I wanted to make an appointment for service or some such BS. How they got my work number is beyond me.
Don’t succumb to laziness. If you can find another place that has what you want, go there instead. I don’t care how convenient the location is.

If I could give negative stars, I would. KEVIN, the «service manager» is about as helpful as a cock flavored lollypop.
I’m also ashamed to admit that I now know that Unilocal has a 5,000 word limit, so I’ll try to scale my rage and just hit the lowest of the low points.
1. They ordered the wrong parts. According to Kevin it «only put us back a couple days» but when that couple days is tacked onto the MONTH they’ve already had the bike, it’s important.
2. They BROKE the correct parts. A $ 500 fairing arrived undamaged. Jacob told me they had written «ok» on it, so he knew it had arrived in one piece. During the long wait for parts they mis-​ordered, this new fairing some how got broken then Kevin tried to lie to me and said it arrived broken. Try again, bucko, your employee told me the TRUTH.
3. They scratched my rims in the bike lift and won’t fix them.
4. They scratched the paint near my seat, and won’t fix it.
5. THEY COMMITTED INSURANCE FRAUD. Someone lightly hit my front end, cracking the fairing. The bike never hit the ground, and has NEVER hit the ground in any instance. They billed a $ 162.00 crank case cover to my insurance, and for some reason took off my perfectly fine cover and VERY SLOPPILY put it back together. I posted a pic showing how they just smear the bonding agent all over the damn place. It’s disgusting, and it NEVER HAD TO BE REPLACED IN THE FIRST PLACE. When I question them about WHY they replaced a perfect part no one has an answer. They say it was damaged. I send them pics showing a pristine crank cover: no response.
6. They told me my bike was done at 11:30am. I sat there UNTIL 7:30 because my bike in fact was not done. For 8 hours their «Master Techs» tried to install a brand name racing clutch lever with NO SUCCESS. I put it on myself in the parking lot USING A DAMN QUARTER. They of course, still blame the lever.
7. Because of their shoddy electrical work they fouled my neutral switch so the bike won’t start correctly now.
8. AND NOW, the icing on the cake. One month later, I’m riding home in the dark. All of a sudden BOOM NO HEADLIGHTS. Yep, the dummies at Woods No-​Fun Center replaced my entire headlight assembly too and I’m SURE their shitty work has caused this problem.
9. I was told I’d be getting some gift cards for my trouble. Thankfully I wasn’t holding my breath, it’s been over a month and NO GIFT CARDS.
