World Interiors

The store has a good amount of good looking products. Variety of styles and designs. There were many options to choose from, and the folks who delivered the furniture were very service oriented. But that’s where the positive experience stops.
The sales pitch I received spoke to the durability, hardiness and resistance to heat their dining tables are. We specifically asked about the ability to place hot objects onto the table and was told it was fine. Within the last 1.5 years i’ve had the table and chairs, never has a hot plate been placed directly onto the table. Table mats have always been used and coasters for plates in the middle. Nevertheless, there is discoloration all over the table. Having a dark finish with light discolorations only makes the table that much more distasteful to look at. In addition, one of the chairs had been poorly assembled with a broken siding, but because it is covered in cloth, i’ve chosen to ignore it.
Regardless of what they tell you, there is no warranty on their products. Unless, paying for them to fix their product which did not live up to how it was sold is considered warranty. Not only was I told I have to pay for this situation, which I was told should not have happened, I have to find and pay for a way to transport a large dining table back to them to have this work done.
Communication with this business is also extremely poor. After a few exchanges, which were already very hard to come by, they were never to be heard from again and did not return my messages.

it’s been quite awhile since I thought of redecorating and thus I haven’t looked at a furniture retailer in over four years. Until this! World Interiors blew me away. Not only do they stand for something real and positive — using massive solid wood that is sustainable, there’s a charity associated with the entire sustainability program.
The managers on the floor, Denise and Patrick are simply a delight to work with.
The variety of furnishings from French country, contemporary to Austin made handcrafted pieces and accessories feels like you really are walking into a world of interiors from around the globe. Their website revealed an entire humongous collection, a goodie bag to choose more fun stuff from.
Their prices are fair market. No rip offs going on here. So good, no need for me to schlep to Dallas to buy furniture again!

Our search for dining room furniture and accessories should’ve started with World Interiors. After visiting many furniture stores in the Austin/​Dallas area, we were unable to find quality furniture at a decent price. Our friends asked us if we had heard of World Interiors? The moment we walked into World Interiors we were greeted by Patrick. His knowledge in furniture and interior design was priceless. A couple of hours with Patrick and we had purchased the perfect pieces, and accessories. With Patrick’s expertise in interior design, we walked out of the store with great decorating ideas to finish off our breakfast room. We’re not done yet, we’re going back for more unique furniture. Patrick, you rock!!!

Gorgeous showroom and the owners are great! And the staff doesnt follow you around and hover like stalkers (like they do in other furniture stores). I see some of these same furnishings at much higher prices in other stores, so why not come to the source and get it direct? Very unique pieces as well, quality made– not cheap pressboard, and very ‘on trend’. A hidden GEM!

I fell in love the moment I walked into the showroom! I was on the hunt for a modern /​french inspired setting and was thrilled to find just what I was after. Bernie (who helped us) was so lovely, and was able to quickly price & quote us on the numerous pieces we had in mind for the new setup. After a few hours, we finalized the look and purchased it! Delivery is tomorrow @ 5:30, and I am expecting to be just as pleased with the service & products as I am now.
Beautiful showroom, AMAZING prices for the transitional /​modern looks Austin is loving these days, and quick delivery. I can’t wait to see my new dining room transform!

Horrible experience just browsing the showroom. I love their collections but the salesman was less than thrilled to help. He was down right rude and frankly was a huge turn off from me making any purchases.

Update to earlier review: Terri, Aimee, and Warren are all excellent and were very gracious in their efforts to right Bernie’s wrong. I will continue to shop world interiors with the 3 of them and am grateful for their quick and courteous response.

2÷19÷13: I’m SO GLAD I stumbled upon World Interiors, thanks Unilocal!After looking all over Austin (literally!) I found World Interiors. Funny, I never noticed them even when I was up the street at Four Hands, anyway, I immediately fell in love with so many pieces of furniture here. They have top quality REAL wood pieces. You’ll find vintage/​modern/​mid century inspired pieces at what I consider to be fair prices (BONUS: Unilocalers get 25% off of any regular priced item!). When you pay for overpriced particleboard at places like West Elm, World Market, etc. World Interiors is a breath of fresh air.
A big thanks to Warren: you weren’t pushy, extremely helpful and kind. When I’m ready to purchase I’ll be back asking for you.
UPDATE: So yesterday I went to World Interiors and was greeted by Warren (compliments above). TODAY I came back to look at their «discounted section» after seeing it on Unilocal and was completely appalled by the RUDENESS I received by «Bernie». Had I not had the pleasant experience I receive the day before I would give this place negative stars based on Bernie’ professionalism alone! How dare you treat customers with such a fowl attitude when you work at a furniture store and my purchase would mean money in your pocket! You can be assured I will be reporting you to management!

Granted — this is an interesting store and they have some nice things. However, I would have never found it and stepped inside had I not bought a $ 200 groupon for it. I shopped and found what I wanted, then was told that the painting marked $ 199 would cost me the «original price» of $ 379. So with my $ 200 groupon, I would still have to shell out $ 179, but anyone else could walk out the door with it for $ 199 cash. What a ripoff! I’ll wipe with that Groupon before I purchase anything from these unethical folks.

We were off to shop for furniture at Four Hands — a furniture source which my husband and I love –when on the way we saw a billboard for World Interiors and thought, what the heck, let’s check it out, it is only a block past the turn to Four Hands. I am so glad we stopped in. World Interiors has a great mix of modern and repro vintage, with funky global pieces blended in. The quality of everything is excellent, and their price point felt very fair to us. We ended up buying three things on the spot, and love all three of them in our eclectic house. For the same amount of money or even less, you can get something well made and unique in design, over some laminated particle boarded thing from a major chain, and your house will have a much more interesting feel to it. This is an Austin furniture store treasure, as is Four Hands, which is also a Must Check Out.

My partner and I went to their new location off Woodward, and I must say this store looks great. I want to move in it, and I personally prefer a bit more of a modern feel.
Warm and cozy settings make it easy to design your room and match furniture.
Prices were impressive, staff was friendly and eager to help.
Great place to buy a house warming gift FYI!

I checked out 12 furniture stores in Austin and heard about World Interiors on KUT radio. They are located one block off Ben White Blvd, in an industrial park. Not only did they have unusual and high quality furniture and decorative items but their prices were fair. This place isn’t cheap but you get what you pay for. I bought a reproduction French Vintage dining table with a metal top for $ 900. I love my dining room table because it was different and none of the others stores I visited in town had anything like it. They also have a warehouse next to their main showroom that has huge discounts on discontinued items. I almost bought a dining table there (regularly $ 1600 but marked down to $ 400) but the piece was too big for my house. This store is one block away from Four Hands Furniture.

GREAT STUFF! It’s so refreshing to walk into a store whose merchandise isn’t made of particle board and plastic. Real wood… what a concept! It’s the type of stuff you keep and pass down to your kids/​grandkids. I first visited the store a few months back and each time I return there’s new stuff! Friendly and informative staff, great selection of furnishings and good prices.
