Zilker Bark

Alex is the man! In our short 20 minute photo session he knocked out a bunch of great pictures of my baby Shiba Nami. It was really cool to see Alex do his thing. I’ve ramped up my own interest in photography since bringing Nami home, so it’s a awesome to to be around someone who has honed in their craft and takes pride in it like Alex does. Look forward to seeing his pictures in the future!

What an easy and fun experience! I stumbled across Alex through a friend on Instagram and fell in love with the way he captures dog’s personalities.
Setting up a session with him was painless and simple and He was super prompt to respond and communicate about the session. I brought my two rambunctious pups and Alex was great with them and super sweet about their ill-​manneredness.
He captured fantastic pictures of them and had them to me within 3 days – and before a holiday!

I found Alex using Instagram. After following him and his dog Sid (@myregalbeagle), I just had to have him take my first holiday photo with my companion, Travis. I admire Alex’s ability to use social media for good and I had a desire to support his business even though he never blatantly solicits himself. He is a very humble guy worthy of many referrals beyond this one.
Anywho, we had some trouble finding his location (I’m horrible with directions) but Alex was very sweet and accommodating. Once we found him, he photographed me and my pup for a solid half hour although the session was suppose to only last for 20 mins. We had some trouble getting my dog to look at the camera (he’s squirrel obsessed), but Alex still managed some amazing shots. I will definitely be using him again in the future. Great customer service, great quality images, and the pricing was super reasonable. If I didn’t have a dog sitter, I’d surely employ him in that regard as well.

Alex is simply incredible! I signed up for one of his mini private sessions last Saturday. I have seen him a few times around Zilker Park (and follow/​stalk his instagram) and I knew that his work was the best of the best. He has SO much patience with the pups. He tries many different tactics until he finds what works best for them.
Little did I know that when I signed up for this session that I was also planning my own surprise engagement! My boyfriend/​fiancé had been working with Alex for a week to plan the perfect proposal. After Alex had finished the individual pictures of the pups he asked if we wanted a family picture. I, of course, jumped on this opportunity. I am typically the one behind the camera so I wasn’t about to pass up an opportunity to have a non-​cell phone picture of us :) Alex positioned us, took some pictures of the four of us, and then asked John to kneel with one of the pups. And he captured every. single. emotion. We can not thank him enough. The pictures are simply breathtaking. We can not wait to work with Alex again!

Alex with Zilker Bark is the best!!! He is extremely friendly and professional and does an amazing job with the pups. Our dog is very very high energy and although we tried to wear him out before the session he was still firing on all cylinders but Alex was still able to get some amazing shots even with Moose not listening to his guidance haha
The photos came out so wonderfully we are really happy and even purchased a few extra because we loved them so much. The prices are really reasonable especially for how talented he is.
Would def recommend him and hope to hire him again, maybe for his sanity in a few years when Moose calms down a little ;)

Alex is a fantastic photographer! He captures so much personality in his photos of our fur-​kids and is so passionate and patient, it’s really impressive. It’s like he’s just playing with your dog, and the next thing you know there’s a pic of him/​her that could be on a magazine cover. Plus his sidekick Sid is pretty ridiculously cute and probably gives the amateur pups a bunch of modeling tips ;-)

Alex is an amazing photographer and really knows how to capture the best moments. Make sure to look for him!

Alex takes amazing photos! We ran into him at Zilker Park and he snapped a photo of my Old English Sheepdog. Just recently we did a private doggy photo shoot and the pictures turned out awesome! My dog is easily distracted and Alex was able to get his attention for the camera. I recommend Alex for photo sessions and I am definitely going to have him pet sit my dogs in the near future.
