This place has a little bit of everything. Some things can be a little pricey, such as name brand sports ware and sunglasses. However, they also have some deals on Catalina souvenirs. I was able to bring back my kids some really nice souvenir T-​shirts for a pretty decent price.

I absolutely love Buoys and Gulls. After coming to Catalina for 14 years, I never forget to stop by Buoys and Gulls for either a new wallet, short, phone case, a bathing suit, pants, or really anything! The best area to shop for younger people is upstairs where there is not tourist shirts. They have a great guys and girls section up there. The downstairs is pretty much old man stuff and tourist sweatshirts. I would stop by here if you’re on the island! PS Prices are fair-​medium.

I was happy to have walked into yet another touristy shop but then see some stairs leading up to a modern mens and womens rideshop. They had a lot of Roxy, Rvca, Volcom, Hurley, Oneill, Quiksilver, you name it. And they have alot of it marked down more then halfway so we were able to get a pair of board shorts each for half the price. It made our day in Catalina much more relaxing to change out of jeans and lay by the beach for awhile in our new suits. The price was good, the girls were kind and we were happy, So thanks!

The obligatory souvenir gifts for the inlaws had yet to be purchased so we decide on the shop with the PUNniest, cheesiest name on the island… that right boys and girls… Buoys and Gulls «Menswear» WTF?
Anywho…the exterior is rather unassuming but it’s chock full of stuff you may or probably will NEVER need… particularly the model sailboats and lame neckties. However, they have a cute shirt for baby and two decent hats for my loveable inlaws. Also more sandals and flip flops than you can shake a stick at… what the hell does that mean by the way, seriously, somebody tell me. Not to mention a decent selection of shoes, shades and shurfing gear. They actually also had a second floor but I’m so gawdamn lazy today I glance at the stairs… sigh audibly… pay for the hats and leave. =)
