Pretty cool and historic little private airport. Once you fly in, you can catch the shuttle to Avalon or Two Harbors. But be sure to check out the views from the patio behind the gift shop. Outstanding! The free outdoor museum explains a little about the natural history of the island and includes a native plant garden with many species labeled. And you can grab a coke or an ice cream at the snack stand before learning more about this colorful Island. Or buy a Catalina Airport T-shirt from the gift shop.

I loved flying into this airport, beautiful view. We were a group of 3 planes. There’s a restaurant for lunch which includes a small gift shop. You can eat inside or outside on the patio. We also had a great time with the trail hike. There’s lots of places for great photo ops!

Lol not that many reviews kind of surprising but I guess not that many people will take the time to come all the way up here. It does take a long time from the town but we were on this old school bus for a tour so it was alright. While we reached this airport there weren’t that many people on here but we did see two small private planes take off which was pretty cool. I’ve never seen that before. They have a small little indoor place for gifts to buy but it is super pricey.

Never been there but it looks like a cool little airport. The biggest planes are DC-3s and maybe Cessna Citation CJ3. DC-3s and Cessna Caravans are usually cargo I believe.
