I saw this salon advertising haircuts and deep condition for $ 25 for women on Groupon. I wanted to take my teenaged daughter to get her bra strap length hair layered to remove some split ends. When I called to see if they had any openings that day, they said to just come in and they would honor the price. They asked how long my daughter’s hair was, and confirmed that it would still be $ 25 for the cut and deep condition as advertised. When I got there, I was told it would be $ 35 because her hair is not short. I explained our phone conversation, and she looked at me as if the conversation never happened. I also brought in the Groupon ad which does not mention an additional charge(while others do), but she insisted it would be $ 35. I felt stuck as we were already there and didn’t have time to do it on another day, so I went ahead. I don’t mind paying more, but I felt like I was being cheated. Also, when my daughter returned from the shampoo bowl after 3 minutes, I inquired about the deep conditioning. She said she did it already. I may be wrong, but whenever I get a deep conditioning, I am either under a dryer or sitting with it on my head for 20 minutes. This seemed to be conditioning like I do at home every time I shampoo my hair. BTW, my daughter does not have long layers. Its still one length. I didn’t want to push the issue about the layer as I thought she might ruin her hair. I think this is a new business, and I don’t like to be negative to a business who is trying to make it. I just believe they should be truthful in advertising.
