On our way to visit my son, we stopped here to get some much needed coffee, however upon walking inside, and seeing the filthy, and styrofoam cups, I spun around on my heels and walked right out the door. The price of gas was okay, but we didn’t get gas there.

Most of the gas-​station along the stretch of the highways also have a Qwik-​e-​Mart. The gas-​station has a promotion, whenever you fill up your gas tank, you’ll receive a free 2-​liter of soda, which was nice. The price of the Super-​Unleaded gas was $ 3.05 a gallon, and Matt spent nearly $ 60.00 to fill up his van, which is slightly cheaper than the Bay Area gas-​stations. But still gas and travelling on the road is not cheap these days, and you know who to put the blame on?
The cashier at the Qwik-​e-​mart was very friendly and offer any assistant in our journey, but we’re prepared and happy that he asked. There are not much of anything in the city of Avenal, so we did our business and left the gas-​staion and the city with a smile in our face.
