Meh. One word for me to describe Bonefish is surely, meh. During a visit for a Father’s Day dinner, I expected long lines but great food, and instead we had the opposite, as we called our reservation in, had not to wait, but also had very average or almost bland food. The restaurant in Aventura is clean and neat, and the menu is simple and nice as well, but maybe to their own demise. I had a grilled salmon, of which I have had better at so many places. I was not asked how I wanted it cooked and when it came out more than well done, it was rather dry to me. The rest of our group enjoyed just fine for the evening and gathering, but I feel everyone felt a little short changed with this chain place. Their are others chains that offer similar style and better bang for your buck, so with the offering of seafood this does not mean you need to overcharge for mild to bland taste. Parking is in the mall lot that makes things easy, even on this night, but to get me to go back will take either a Great deal and different menu item, or some type of event that is hosted by another. I cannot recommend bonefish grill, be warned. Be well.

Great food, me and the Mrs. love to go on Wednesday to enjoy the $ 6 Bang Bang Shrimp. Side note for the month of June on Monday, they have $ 5 Martinis. The last the time we went our food took longer than normal to arrive and the Manager Allison B took great care of us. My favorite dish is the Pad Thai shrimp, be aware it can be a little salty, but hey it a restaurant so it’s kinda expected. The servers could be quicker and more attentive to the customer’s needs, but overall we’ve enjoyed this place each time we visited.

Not as good this time. Service was unprofessional and slow. Good had to be sent back. It was so overbooked and dried out. The hearts of palm salad only had 2 small slices on palm. The mussels were the only good thing

I eat here about 1 – 2 times a week and always have THE best meal. I usually sit at the bar with(I believe his name is Scott?) either way he’s a fantastic bartender and is very knowledgable about the food and beverages. I suggest to try the tuna sashimi! Sushi grade lightly seared tuna with crusted with sesame seeds… UGHHH. Anyway, this location never disappoints. If you haven’t been, you need to. I’d give it a million stars if I could: D

There was a review on saying the portions were large– lies! I was disappointed in my dab of mashed sweet potatoes but the food was delicious & the service was ok. They brought our bread out late with our food & forgot one of our drinks… Overall it was ok but i wouldn’t go back. Not my cup of tea.

My first visit to this restaurant this last Sunday. I heard good things about them. The place was fairly empty at about 7 pm. We were a party of five people and the service was VERY slow as it took more than 30 minutes since we ordered until we saw the food. The manager came to apologize but it didn’t make the food come out sooner and I wish he’d stay in the kitchen as it made me more annoyed. All in it was a bad experience as my wife’s rice was burned and not eatable. I also felt the price was high for the quality. I don’t recommend the place and it was also my last time.

Since I didn’t feel like being in an over-crowded church Easter Sunday I opted for brunch instead. A $ 19.90 brunch with bottomless Mimosas, bellinis and Bloody Marys sounded too good to pass up. Upon arrival, the restaurant was mostly empty and we were seated right away. Our server Eddie was very easy going and attentive. He wasted no time getting us our drinks and made sure they kept coming. The passion fruit mimosa is just divine. I had to stop myself at 3 otherwise it would have turned into a mostly liquid brunch. I had the crab chowder and the Oscar – a crab and asparagus omelette. First the good news – the corn chowder was delish. Thick and rich, loaded with tasty roasted corn and veggies. Could have used a teensy bit more crabmeat though. Now the bad news – the omelette was on the dry side & bland. I had to search high and low for crabmeat. For $ 20 I didn’t expect an overload but I didn’t expect to have to go on a treasure hunt either. It was supposed to contain smoked mozzarella but it tasted like regular mozzarella. The dish was completely devoid of salt or any kind of seasoning. But the asparagus was cooked perfectly – firm without being undercooked. I’ve been a patron for about 6 – 7 years now in 2 different states(VA&FL) and this was the 1st culinary disappointment. So I will be back. I just won’t be having the Oscar again.

First time here. A bit confusing in the beginning with seating. However, once waiter and seating was determined everything else went smoothly. We were greeted by a waiter dressed a chef and iPad in hand. I order the classic burger with Angus beef, best choice ever! Next up my wife ordered the shrimp tacos, they melted in your mouth with flavors, the spices were outstanding. The portions were of adequate size and then some, we both shared our meals, it was a lot of food. The desert was a brownie with ice cream and raspberry syrup. Right of the bat the brownie was scrumptious, it lacked nothing but a 10 start rating, please keep this bronze I’m still amazed! The only problem I had was the gloomy Lighting and lack of a wifi.

I’ve been to several locations of Bonefish throughout South Florida; Orlando, Tampa, Plantation, but this was my first visit to the new Aventura location. It looked great! And the service and food was no different. Our waitress was really so polite and attentive without being bothersome. My boyfriend and I really enjoy their Bottomless Bubbles and brunch special on the weekend, the drinks options are delicious as well as the brunch. The Surf and Turf Eggs Benedict is my favorite option with a Passion Fruit Bellini AND their prices are great. With a new location close to home, I’ll definitely be a regular.

What happened to this place? The first time I came it was awesome, the second there was an issue with the chef… Third even worst… After that other times, still not good… One more chance this week and bust!!! They are really missing to get their act together… Our food, medoicre… The snapper? Well looked like boiled frozen slimy… Well awful!!! The chicken wrap, nothing to it!!! Absolutely nothing… The shrimp, ok at most… Edamame. Dont even bother wasting your money there… Service, could be better… All in all, I might give them a chance in a year. Cheers…

First visit to this location. Debated with the SO whether to go to Houston’ or Bonefish Grill. Decided on Bonefish, based on the horrible pre-holiday traffic on Biscayne. Friday evening. 5pm. First impression: empty. Damn. A few geris. Perhaps 5 tables. First surprise, the hostess is busy on the phone and does not acknowledge us. Mind you, it’s basically an empty restaurant. Like in: my wife and I both have terminal degrees and we can’t even be competent enough pick our own table??? We have to wait for what??? Second surprise, once we were seated, NOBODY came. For like, 10 minutes. The FOUR waiters(again, 5 tables occupied) were all congregating in the back corner of the bar(the ‘service station’) while I was HUNGRY and dying to get a drink. We were debating to leave at this point and skip the ‘experience’ for a quick Chipotle fix next door, when the waiter finally showed up. We ordered two glasses of wine. Third surpise, the waiters again congregated in the back corner of the bar doing whatever they were doing while we were anxiously waiting for our wine to be poured. Finally it came and we ordered, a salad with salmon for the wifey and a filet with fries for me. Fourth surprise, it took another 20 minutes for our food to arrive(still only 5 tables occupied), after the waiter had come by twice to proclaim ‘your food will be out soon’, his concience already souring. I remarked that they should have butchered the cow earlier, and he countered professionally with ‘we only use the freshest of ingredients’. Wifey liked her salad. My steak was tasty, but not ‘medium’ as ordered but pretty much well done. And it was small. The fries were mediocre and that’s a generous assessment. Soggy and lifeless. Come on, heat your oil and fry them twice. We went to BurgerFi the day prior and their fries were much better, crispy and plenty, and for 3.99, a bargain. Summary — don’t let me wait in a basically empty restaurant and then serve me mediocre food sprinkled with lame excuses. While this may have been a particularly bad early Friday evening, I will probably not be back which is sad, because we live locally.

Waited 10 minutes for a table for 3 on a Wednesday night, which was not too bad. The atmosphere was trendier that I expected. Most of the Bonefish Grills I’ve been to had the family restaurant feel, but this one was very modern and the bar is right there when you walk in. The server was okay, not amazing. He was not very attentive. He refilled my iced tea glass with water. As I watched him pour it, I thought to myself: Ok, I guess I’m getting water. No biggie I didn’t want another tea, but what if I did or what if I wanted water with no tea residue. The order was placed with an iPad which was my first time seeing at a Bone Fish Grill. The Bang Bang Shrimp was $ 6(Wednesday special) instead of the usual $ 11 so we had to order that to share. When it came out, it looked amazing, but my goodness was it salty! I ordered the Baja Fish Tacos with fries as my dinner. The tacos were good, but the fries were salty salty salty! My bf and I didn’t realize HOW salty the food really was until we got home and kept drinking water. Maybe it was an off night for them. Side note: parking spots are very tight.

Great dinner at the bar this evening. The bartender Dave was slammed but seriously worked his butt off to serve all the customers. It was extra busy this evening apparently due to $ 6 bang bang shrimp. I love me some bang bang shrimp but I opted for a meal instead. I had the tilapia imperial with rice and veggies. It was excellent. It is topped with crab and scallops along with capers. The veggies were zucchini and peppers and were nicely seasoned with Parmesan cheese. Everything about my meal was delicious.

Yes, so it’s a chain restaurant but it’s within walking distance to our place and it’s cheaper than Novecento which is in the same plaza. The arctic char has become my go-to dish — always flavorful and fresh, while my husband likes their lobster roll. The drinks aren’t bad either(their sangria is decent). We had a coupon for $ 20 off dinner and decided to stop in and take advantage of the offer. If you can, try to get Matthew — he was the *best* server! The only reason I don’t give it a higher score is because their location is exactly where our Barnes & Noble used to be and I miss having a bookstore in Aventura :(I suppose there’s some good to this tradeoff…

This restaurant opened about a week ago. I think it’s a great addition to Aventura. I had a coupon for a free order of Bar Bites and we were in the area, so Mom, Clyde, and I stopped by for Happy Hour. The restaurant was very attractive and the people working there were friendly and outgoing. Instead of just having a drink and an appetizer we decided to stay for supper. We started with drinks, $ 3.25 each for Happy Hour. Next I ordered shrimp sliders with my free Bar Bites coupon. There were three buns, shrimp, and sauce. We each made our own little sandwich. It was okay for an appetizer. The shrimp were good. I wasn’t crazy about the bun. The dish needed something to jazz it up a little. Maybe some spices or hot sauce. Our server put their delicious bread and herbed oil on the table. I had forgotten how much I like their bread. I couldn’t stop eating it. For our entrees Mom had fish and chips, Clyde had the pork chop with garlic mashed potatoes, and I had blackened fish tacos with garlic mashed potatoes. I had to sample Mom’s and Clyde’s dishes. I loved Mom’s entrée. Her fish and chips was delicious. The fish was mild, the coating was light with a slight crispness. The French fries were perfect. The fish came with ketchup and tarter sauce. The tarter sauce tasted homemade. Clyde’s pork chop was thick, tender, and delicious. The mushroom gravy was so flavorful. He loved his side of garlic mashed potatoes. I enjoyed my blackened fish tacos and my side of garlic mashed potatoes. There were three plump tacos filled with tender fish, mango salsa, and lime crema. I would order that again. The service couldn’t have been better. Even though the restaurant had gotten busy, our server was always checking on us to see if we needed anything. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The next time I’m there I want to try the Bar Bites doughnuts, which are three small doughnuts that you fill with chocolate and salted caramel sauces. Sounds yummy.
