Horrible!!! Over 3 hour wait time. Rude, incompetent staff. Do not go! You will regret it. I would give it zero stars!

This place deserves 0 stars. This place has no concern for the patients and they cut corners in order to save themselves money. Their cost cutting measures are at the expense of their patients. They have caused my diagnosis and treatment to be delayed for weeks because they didn’t do the job right. I called them on Friday, February 7th to schedule an appointment for the CT scan of my brain that my doctor prescribed because my doctor believes I might have a very serious disease that affects my brain. DMI told me that they’ll give me an appointment for Friday, February 14th because they need time to get an authorization from my insurance. Maria at DMI told me that it is her job to get he authorization and that she would handle it. On Monday, February 10th, my doctor faxed the prescription and clinical notes to DMI. DMI claims they sent that paperwork to the insurance on the 10th, however when I called the insurance, the insurance tells me DMI first sent the paperwork on the afternoon of February 13th, less than 24 hours before my CT scan! So I call Maria back at DMI. She says the insurance required«additional notes». Turns out, the insurance never got whatever was allegedly faxed on the 10th. I said to Maria that if she sent the paperwork on the 10th, then she must have proof. Her resonse? «No, we handle thousands of these and we don’t get a fax confirmation on the paperwork we send. We actually have to push a button on the fax machine if we want confirmation.» The moral of this story is that you will be just a number at DMI. They don’t care about you. Because they are saving probably two cents per case by not getting a fax confirmation, your treatment will be delayed. They have no idea if the paperwork gets to the insurance, and Maria does not personally follow up until it is too late. She also has an attitude that it’s the patient’s fault. The insurance says it takes a minimum of 72 hours for an authorization, so because Maria sent the paperwork with less than 24 hours, I am now going to have to reschedule my exam for three weeks down the road. Because I took my only day off today for nothing now that DMI cancelled my appointment. The best part? When DMI realized their mistake, they lied to me that it was«additional» paperwork and DMI didn’t have the decency to call me to let me know what was going on. Had I not called them(and the insurance and my doctor), I would have gotten stuck footing the bill because Maria at DMI mishandled my case. Maria will not help push this through after she messed it up and says I just have to wait and then take another day off work and hope the authorization goes through. Not even an apology from DMI. Their attitude was it’s my fault that I’m one of «thousands» of patients. I wish I had read the other Unilocaler’s review before making an appointment at Digital Medical Imagining. They cut corners and don’t care about the patients.

They apparently were unaware that many doctors want to see a CD of an MRIs rather than one page summaries, which caused a significant delay in my treatment. Given that they were either careless or ignorant of this, I wonder how good their work can be.
