Gelateria 4D

First of all it is not 4D anymore, but with the new owner called Bertoni. Secondly it does not matter what flavor you choose it all is the basic cream or crema – The flavors are so minimal and subdued that it is all The same. It’s not worth the trip.

I don’t make it to Aventura often because I’d pass three malls on my way but when I do there are a few places I MUST visit and this is one of them. First off, I never really ate gelato before but one day, while in Aventura, I had a sudden craving and the pistachio caught my eye. I ordered a small cup and after that first spoonful, I didn’t want to walk, I didn’t want to talk, I wanted to sit and indulge. That had to be the best I’d ever had and when the young lady behind the counter told me it has a lower fat content than ice cream, I thought to myself, why haven’t I been eating this stuff?
Okay now fast forward to today, I stopped at a gelato shop near my house and they had pistachio. Imagine my excitement!!! Well that was short lived when I tasted it, expecting a similar flavor but NO! Not even close. I was so disappointed at that artificial flavor which tasted more like that weird fake almond taste which made me say to myself, «Self, the gelato shop in Aventura mall is a gem!» Soooo I said all that to say this… if you’re there now, stop by and get some gelato and
If you like pistachio, this is a MUST TRY! You can thank me later!

One of my favorite gelati shops in Florida.
I found one at almost every mall, which was great because their gelati and sorbetti are drool worthy. Ask for samples, they are free.
Their gelati are smooth, creamy, light, and not too sweet. Their sorbetti are cool, refreshing, palate cleansing, light and not too sweet. Awesome. They have a nice selection of flavor options.
The employees at this location were quick and friendly.
