I went to dinner there the other night. Although a little difficult to find(it was in a strip shopping center) the food and service was wonderful. The menu is varied and everyone in our party raved about it. The evening we went — was very quiet– only one or two other parties which made it perfect for our group of 6. Highly recommend this place for food and quiet as well as service.

Quaint little place with just enough parking. Ambiance isn’t too warming as they have projectors with black and white films going but not too inviting in that sense. Restaurant had a nice flow of business. App was small portion and though it said rainbow beets they were not and it was deceptive to call it an arugula salad though the flavors were all there(small and over priced for what it was). The pastas were spectacular, well portioned, flavorful, fresh and fairly priced for flavor to portion ratio. We did not have dessert but we did have a bottle of wine, a little casual to put the bottle in a plastic bag instead of a bucket. The Italian fries have fried parsley and were perfectly crunchy and very different from your usual French fry. Highly recommended. Overall I enjoyed and would go back as it’s a nice local Italian spot.

I recentlIy wrote a few reviews for this restaurant and found with the recent ownership, that the food was quite good but was not impressed with the prices for a neighborhood small restaurant. Particularly the $ 20 corkage for wine. Anyway, a friend gave us a $ 150 gift card from here and 3 of us went last night for dinner, Again, food good, service not up to par but acceptable. So…we ask for the check $ 116.00 and give the $ 150 gift card to pay for it. Waiter returns and I ask him where I can add the tip. He says I have to pay cash as they won’t take it from the card. I then explained that if I paid with my Amex, the restaurant would get the funds and pass the tip to the waiter. Now he’s adamant. I said, let me put the tip on my Amex, otherwise you won’t get one. I ask for the owner and out comes a young man in a white chef’s suit and I repeat everything to him. He opens his mouth and yells«I’ll take care of it and don’t come back again.» As we then got out before the tempers rose, each table we passed said they could not believe the owner and they as well would never come back. Too bad, as it was convenient and the food was not bad.

Very cute, clean and tasty! Eggplant appetizer was awesome, calamari was good, pastas very good with delicious sauces. Don’t let the strip mall location fool you, very pleasant inside!

What can I say but WOW. Nothing was anything less than superb. Started with the chopped salad which was delightful. A light balsamic dressing with perfectly chopped lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumber with a cheese to just add a little zest. Combine that with the fresh crusty warm bread and you have arrived in heaven. This place makes the perfect fish. Last night a beautiful halibut which was sweet and flaky with an incredible crust. Literally melted in your mouth. Ordered a side of Tuscan fries. They are to die for. The are perfectly crispy with great salt and herbs. These are a must to order. A friend had the rigatoni with bolognese. Pasta perfectly al dente with a hearty yet not overpowering meaty sauce. Don’t skip dessert. Now I must say that I do not like tiramisu. It’s been done and usually not very well. My wife insisted on it so what the hell. Figured I just taste it. Omg. I could not stop. Not like the crap you get everywhere else. Served in a jar it truly was creamy and custardly. Pure heaven. Bottom line. Go there. Truly wonderful dining experience. And worth whatever your drive may be. This is what eating out is meant to be.

I had the best rigatoni bolognese I have ever had in my life here. This restaurant doesn’t appear to be much from outside, but once inside you will be blown away. The friendly service and quaint ambience starts the experience. Then the amazing Italian food takes it to the next level. Some of us had tile fish which was great, and the salmon was superb. The scallops were delicious. The sides of fries were unexpectedly amazing. And the Brussels sprouts were not to be missed. But my favourite was the bolognese sauce. It was so good, I wanted to go back the next morning for the same dish again for breakfast! Highly recommended and you will not regret it!

We really enjoyed our meals at this great little restaurant. It’s upscale, but totally affordable. Our kids were able to eat too… which isn’t an easy feat! The service was good… the owners rock and were right there, which makes a big difference to how a business is run! Will definitely recommend and go again.

Well Unilocalers, I will try and keep this short and sweet, but I have a feeling it wont happen. It will be sweet, not so sure on the short. First off, let me say my wife and I have been wanting to try this place for a long time. We have even made plans several times to come here, but never happened. Tonight I said my only criteria is we have to go somewhere we haven’t been. She suggested IL Migliore, sorta out of nowhere, and I thought to myself, decision is done, we are going! We live very close, within 5 minute drive. I called ahead and they said there was no wait, and I told them we on the way. I had heard from friends about this place, and I had read some reviews in the past(nothing recently) so I had high expectations, and I specifically remembered«Tuscan Fries» and lets just say I was excited. Parking was not an issue, we arrived around 8:45. Some people followed us in, we were seated right away. At first glance I was somewhat surprised at the restaurant size. I thought it would be a bigger restaurant and then realized I had been here before many years ago when it was Thai Orchid. Im not sure if I liked the whole open room concept, but because of the size, I don’t think anything else would really work. There was 15 tables, some ok art work on 1 wall, a few black and white movies playing on the opposite wall. You can see a glimpse of the kitchen when walking in, and from seating area. Fresh bread sitting on the counter top, and beer storage above the opening to the kitchen. We sat for about 5 minutes before being greeted again, trying to not be impatient, but it did seem a little long. Everyone was busy and taking care of customers, a lot of food was running to tables, so I just sat back and took everything in. OK on to the menu. The menus were like place mats, beer and wine on one side, food on the other. It was a little confusing at first, I thought they were different menus, so the wifey and I were swapping them around until we realized it. Lots of good stuff on the menu, but we did get slightly concerned about ordering for a 7 and 5 year old. Our waiter, Mustafa mentioned that he could pretty much accommodate anything we wanted for the kids. So here is what we started off with: Belgium Ale(PALM) — for me White Rascal — for wifey Calamari appetizer Waters and for main dishes, we ordered Mushroom Risotto — for me Grilled Shrimp — for me(ok I share) Spinach and Ricotta Rav — for wifey Rigatoni Pasta — plain(for kids) Grilled Chicken Breast(for kids) Side of Bolognese sauce(for kids pasta) Belgium Ale(PALM) — for me White Rascal — for wifey Tuscan Fries Brussels So regarding the ordering, our waiter explained all the specials and made several recommendations. He said they were out of the cuttlefish. So you can see from the above what we ended up ordering. As we were wrapping up the order and looking for another side, he recommended the brussels, which turned out to be one of the best things we ate. So regarding the food, here is what I thought: Calamari — It came out relatively quick. Presentation, texture, flavor — AWESOME. A little pricey comparatively speaking, but quality was amazing, which I will take over quantity any day. Mushroom Risotto combined with Shrimp — AWESOME. 7 shrimp arrived on plate, very nice size and grilled to perfection. Mushroom Risotto had very nice flavor. Spinach and Ricotta Rav — Wifey really enjoyed it, sauce was very nice. Tuscan Fries — One word — INCREDIBLE. I don’t even know how to describe it. A must have. Brussels — recommended by Mustafa, SPECTACULAR. The balsamic vinegar reduction made this dish and the Brussels themselves were cooked to perfection. My kids were dipping the grilled chicken in to get at the reduction. :) They enjoyed their pasta and chicken and the appetizers. Well, I tried to make it short and sweet, and I was just made aware of Unilocal’s character limit. I really wanted to provide a lot of details on this review, but had to trim it up a little bit. Overall experience — extremely satisfied, I will be disappointed if the next time is not just as good. Service was excellent. Mustafa, our waiter really paid attention to us, went out of his way to accommodate us with the kids and overall made for a great dining experience. Regarding the price, I will say it is higher than what we normally pay for family of 5 dining out. The beers alone was almost $ 30 for 4 beers, for just bottled beer but this is not unusual for Aventura. That being said, I was not unhappy paying for what we ordered, as this was by far one of the best meals I have eaten in quite some time. There is a few reasons why I didn’t give 5 stars, mainly because I don’t give out 5 stars that often. I think if the next time I am back, and the experience is just as good(or better) they will earn 5 stars. Glad to have finally tried it. I will be back!

We are here now… my trout was very good but my girlfriend had something called wreck fish… which can wreck your appetite in no time and we told the condescending waiter it was tough but he didn’t want to hear it… oh well place is decent but I wouldn’t recommend it

Didn’t know anything about this place until last night. Come to find out that I drive past it several times a week. We were invited by my buddy and his GF. Wow!!! To say the least. The food was awesome and you get very large portions. Not to leave out deserts, well, leave some space in your stomach. They totally delectable! We all left totally stuffed and in need of wheel barrels to cart us to our cars! We highly recommend Il Migliore Trattoria!!!

OWNERS: Please fix the ambiance… turn the music up just a touch so you don’t have to whisper… drop the lights about 50% so there is a bit of intimacy in the room… pay attention to the details. The food is great, service is pretty solid, but it’s almost painful at times to sit in the lifeless room, and that can be an easy fix. Also, does your music choice fit in with the concept? I’m not so sure it does. We love little local places like this, but get less plain jane and you’ll have a captive audience forever.

To say that this is a great restaurant is an understatement. we came here on a whim and ended up having one of the best food experiences without spending an absurd amount. It maybe hidden and may be a slight bit cramped but what it does have is the tastiest pastas and desserts in the aventura area. The staff were all courteous and everyone comes by to say hi and treat you and see if you need anything. Old western movies are projected on the walls and you get a classic ambience without feeling like you need a jacket and tie. What a shame I may not be able to come back for some time.

I give them 5 stars for trying so hard — but the truth is, it is a solid 4. The place is nice and it just went through a recent renovation. The renovation was a bit weird and amateurish, but whatever, they try. They have GREAT, I mean GREAT, bread at the table. Dip it in the olive oil and you will be set. Parking is super easy and they will get you in and out within an hour. Very reasonably priced if you order off the menu. The waiter are very aware, attentive and helpful. Some of the staples are: …Excellent chopped salad …Mussels are always fantastic …World’s best rosemary fries …Chicken under a brick is tasty and even a bit health …Eggplant parm is very good …All the pasta dishes are solid Overall, this is a true local restaurant and the people are so damn nice you want it to do well. Desserts are really good as well. They have this upside down chocolate cake which is great to share. FYI — they also know how to pour a glass of wine. They also take fantastic care of kids.

All was good and very tasty. The starters are wonderful: the Humus, the chopped salad and the Grilled cheese with the tomatos. The bred and roasted garlic is very unique. The gnoki is one of the best we ate. The main dishes are also good. Friendly atmosphere with black and white movies on the wall. Very recommend.

I had been told that this tiny, little«hole-in-the-wall» trattoria in a strip center on Miami Gardens Drive was a gem by some of my associates; so when I saw a dinner special back in April on LivingSocial, I decided to pick up a coupon and check it out. Needless to say I very nearly let the darn coupon expire… sometimes life and craziness gets in the way, but that’s another story. Suffice to say, we went to experience Il Migliore on THE expiration date. And I am glad we did. We got there at 5PM and were the only customers in the place, so we got to sit anyplace we wanted. It’s a small, cozy room(sign says 70 people max, but I doubt that many could fit in there). The waiter is attentive, smiling and takes your beverage order right away. The owner makes his rounds and is extremely personable. And then comes the sensational bread basket that makes its way to you. Do not overeat! There are several specials on the board that the waiter will describe for you. Additionally, there are fixed –price twilight dinners for about $ 22.00 per person. We ordered 2 antipasti– an Insalata Caprese(eggplant, mozzarella and tomato) atop a bed of baby greens with a balsamic reduction, and goat cheese ravioli plate.(I have to add that if you have the patience of a flea and want to have your food right away, either take a Valium and chill or find a drive-through; this food is made to order and isn’t plated and served a la MacDonald’s. So sip your aqua minerale, nibble on that yummy bread and engage in a, oh, conversation, Failing that, bring your iPad and play a few games of «Angry Birds.» It really is worth the wait.) Our entrees were Halibut and shrimp. The halibut was flaky and moist served with a couscous and shaved asparagus tips. The other entrée, the shrimp, was served in a scampi-like(oregano, parsley pepper and(a little too much) salt) style only not swimming in garlicky oil. This entrée was served with asparagus and mashed potatoes, very creamy and buttery. A wonderful and unexpected pleasure. We left the restaurant at around 6:35pm, approximately 90 minutes for dinner. Very relaxing. Now yes, there are many Italian restaurants in the area, and yes, it can be pricey. Our tab was about $ 100 including the LivingSocial coupon. But this is the kind of place where you make a memory, where you bring someone you care about to enjoy foods you both love. I hope Il Migliore continues to do what it’s doing for some time to come. It’s apparent that the owner and staff have pride of ownership and it’s nice to have experienced the joy of his cooking.

I can say, with total confidence, that the meal I had with my family at Il Migliore was the best meal I’ve had in years and warrants far more gushing than I will possibly be able to afford it here. To begin with, the restaurant has only sixteen table, truly the feel of a small bistro in Italy, and every inch of it is gorgeous and pristinely kept. The staff are dressed to perfection, professional, and very knowledgable about every aspect of the menu. I often times forget how enjoyable it is when a restaurant actually has nightly chef specials, and further still, when the waiter shares them as if describing works of art, which in this case, I believe they indeed were. Antipasti — Seared Ahi Tuna — For the second time in Miami, I ordered seared tuna, this time as an appetizer, and I was once again blown away. The preperation, presentation, and temperature of the fish were nothing short of flawless. Every bite was delicious, and the mixed greens that it was served with were delightful as well. In addition, the pickled ginger that was served with the tuna was spicier than any ginger I’ve ever eaten previously, and complimented the fish perfectly. Perfect. Insalata Caprese with Fried Eggplant — This was a special and not part of the normal menu(you can always order Insalata Caprese but the fried eggplant is usually not available in the appetizer). The mozzarella was thick, fresh and delicious. The tomato was plump, ripe, and juicy. And the eggplant… I pride myself on making fried eggplant with a touch of awesome, but here, it reached artform status. Together, the three flavors combined to make a meal worthy of any price or location and even though my parents were sharing it, I stole as many bites as I could. Perfect. Secondi — Seared Scallops with Mashed Potatos — Unfortunately, this was also a special and I don’t remember precisely how it was prepared… What I do remember is that every bit was heaven. The mashed potatos were made with garlic and something else(again, I’m sorry I can’t remember) and were so good I wouldn’t let anyone else try them. The scallops were made in a delicious butter and white wine sauce, and again, they just fell apart in layers of tender glory. It was also served with asparagus, which tasted an awful lot like asparagus =D As I said, best meal I’ve had in as long as I can remember. Perfect. My parents each had veal… veal parmigiana for my dad and veal francese for my mom… the portions of their meals blew my mind. Each received three very large cuts of veal, every inch cooked to perfection, breaded in a lovely and delicious flour blend, and fried lightly in what must have been a fantastic olive oil(I’m speculating but I can’t imagine flavor like that generating from anything else). The sauces were fantastic and every bite I managed to steal made me wish I could have ten more meals at this lovely place prior to flying back to Washington. Perfect and perfect. (Italian word for dessert) — They were out of tiramisu… which was about to be devastating when the waiter told me to have the Banana and Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding with the assurance that I would love it. For a lack of a better way to annunciate… OMFG. It was enormous, it was delicious, and even though I had virtually no room left in my stomach at all, I ate it down to the crumbs, and loved every bite. Even my parents dug in without the ability to control themselves, and the thoughts of tiramisu vanished after the first bites. Stupendous. Delicious. Perfect. For the four of us, the bill came out to 210 dollars, so please be mindful that this will not be a cheap night out, but for me and for my family, I know I speak for everyone when saying it was worth every penny and more. Perfect.
