This place was AWESOME. The wait staff was wonderful. We had Heidi, and she was very friendly and informative. The meal was exactly as it was described in the menu. Go for the seasoned fries! We will definitely come back.,

They do not pay attention to their orders. Food may be good if they remember to bring what you ask for. Completely upset over them forgetting the one thing I asked for and asked for 3 times to make sure they don’t forget. I feel like if I’m paying for something it should be up to a certain standard. The waitresses leave you at the table and never come to check on you. It’s so sad, this place could be so much better. People come for good food, but leave with disappointment and shitty service. Step up your game please. Severely damaging your face value.

Food is consistently good. Pizza is excellent, wings are good, drinks are priced reasonably. The entrées are nicely sized and haven’t had a bad one yet, the pricing on the food is fair. Nice place to sit and eat lunch or dinner.

Nice old style place for dinner. Had dinner outside on the porch and could see the lake, the food was fresh and they had some nice specials. A nice place for dinner with friends

Lakeview has gone downhill substantially over the past year and after giving it a second chance last night we will not be going back. For the second time within the past few months we sat at the bar to order drinks and dinner. The grumpy bartender walked over towards us to grab beers from the cooler for other customers and did not even acknowledge us. The bar was not busy and she looked miserable. The other bartender who took our order was not friendly at all. I noticed they have a new menu and sandwiches and burgers come with nothing. If you want to add to a burger every little things costs extra. The burger I ordered was supposed to be medium but came out well done. The fries were obviously frozen, not freshly cut anymore. My boyfriend’s Cuban sandwich was tough and the pork was chewy. Bonnie needs to retrain her entire staff in order to bring this restaurant back to where it was a couple years ago. We will stick with Towne Tavern from now on. The staff is friendly and the food is always great there!

Since the closing of Uncle Marty’s and Arlington, our dining choices are limited in our little hamlet… But, if you consider being ignored and bad food a good combination, dine here! Pizza has always been good, but anything else… Well, don’t say I didn’t warn you… The waitstaff is not trained, don’t give a crap, and I watched two tables leave because they were there for a half hour with no attention! This place needs John Taffer!

Lakeview is a really nice restaurant with a lovely setting overlooking Crystal Lake. It is especially nice to sit out on the patio during the warmer weather. We had a large gathering of family and friends in the banquet room in memory of my mother and they did a wonderful job. I continue to stop by for dinner a couple of times a year when I visit my family in the area. No, they are not cheap, but they are in line with restaurants in the area. The food and service have always been good. Very friendly waitstaff. Thank you.

Worst food and service i’ve ever experienced. Great location and lots of potential, but the food was not edible. We sat almost 20 mins before someone came for a drink order, another 45 for our meal. Save yourself the trouble and keep driving.

Great pizza! House wine had great choices. Fish fry for my husband, I had pasta primavera which needed some more sauce but the veggies were good and the penne. Chicken parm was good and very large! Pizza quite large and good. Bringing home a lot of food! Sharing is a good idea!

Monday night is Mexican night. Made the mistake of ordering the appetizer platter. I should have known better. Take them out of the freezer and thrown in the oven and stay home! The Ruben sandwich was an improvement but nothing special served with chips and a pickle. Fries are extra. Decent beer, wine and drink list. Atmosphere is relaxed, we chose 2 sit in the restaurant area rather than bar but sounded like fun ass the lilt of singing patrons came wafting into the dining room. The menu is extensive but average entrée price is $ 19 a bit pricy for me but hey there’s not much to choose from out here in Averill Park.

Decent little spot considering there isn’t much around. Saddle up for a craft beer(or a traditional brand) tasty bar food & a multi televised sporting event– there is like a dozen flat screens in this bar! Chat w the locals, hunker down while its snowing, and sing along to the classic rock.

I’d been here a few times when my In-Laws lived in Averill Park but haven’t been back in a while. I went here for a party in the upstairs banquet room. The space is pretty, nothing gorgeous, but a step up from the VFW or the Elks. I got a club soda and a glass of wine from the bar they had set up. Both were served in plastic cups — really tacky on their part. This was not some wild party group but a fairly sedate dinner, most attendees were over the age of 60. The wine I got was served out of a carafe, not even a bottle and was pretty bad. If I’d walked down the stairs to the bar I could have gotten a half way decent wine in a real glass for close to the same price. Dinner was fairly unremarkable — some kind of beef in brown gravy with mushrooms, some kind of chicken in sauce with mushrooms, sloppy eggplant parm, undercooked carrots but decently cooked green beans and scalloped potatoes that were a tad undercooked and gloppy. It definitely wouldn’t be my first choice for a banquet or party.

Hit or miss. Prefer sitting at the bar. Very nice bartenders and waitresses. Bad experiences seated in the dining area every time. You will wait forever and people that come in after you will be served before you receive your order! Got food poisoning from the wings twice.

Went last night with my family(my husband, our two kids and my mother). My meal was $ 16 chicken parm, and the breading on the chicken was burned. After having soup and appetizers I wasn’t very hungry anyway, so when the waitress asked if I wanted it replaced I declined and said I would rather have money taken off the bill. They took $ 6 off of the $ 16 meal. At our previous visit, the waitress forgot to bring my salad out before the meal and when I mentioned it she replied«Oh, they forgot to bring it to you?». Last I knew, my waitress was responsible for bringing the food to the table. I also had chicken parm at that visit, and it was very good. They are hit and miss. However, it was in poor taste to not remove the entire meal from the bill at our visit last night. That has turned me off from them, and we will likely go to Uncle Marty’s or the Towne Tavern next time.

I always like to get out of the city for a spell and having dinner here hit the spot. The seafood chowder was loaded with seafood. Perhaps a slightly crazy concept to some restaurants but here it was no problem. I also had a the 12 oz sirloin cooked just as I wanted with a a dozen of steamed littlenecks, all for a mere $ 26.95. Yum! A decent beer, wine, and mixed drink selection to boot! I miss having a real meal for a decent price in a cozy, unpretentious joint. It probably wouldn’t wow Tony Bourdain but I know I left happy.

Not bad, but not outstanding. Some things are better than others — pizza is decent, but«Mexican night» is worth avoiding. Owners are very nice and do their best to make it up if something goes wrong, but I’d really rather just not have things go badly. I’ve had cold food, burned on the bottom food and overcooked steak. I’ve also had amazing pizza and terrific meals in the banquet room upstairs. Hit or miss.

I used to live a block away from the Lakeview and I’ve gotta say, this place is mediocre at best. Don’t ever get pasta or pretty much any entrée; you’ll wait an hour and a half and pay too much for dried out meat or over-cooked noodles with no creativity or spice in any of it. Lakeview is one of the only restaurants in Averill Park which is probably why they can get away with the crap service and slightly above crap food. If you go there get takeout and order a pizza: the pizza is good. Also, the mozzarella stick are good and come with raspberry sauce, yum. Everything else is just a sad waste.
