If you enjoy being ripped off, I recommend this seafood outlet. They will look you in the eye and lie that the Ahi tuna is fresh, when it is actually frozen. Nice way to make a profit, selling fish as fresh for $ 20.00 a pound that can be gotten anywhere for less than half that. One star is actually over-rating this place.

When you are looking for the best seafood and are wanting to impress… this is the place to come! Nothing finer that to slip down on a Sunday morning and see what they have to offer… Salmon is one of my favorite purchases along with crab and a lot of fresh stuff from the sea! This is my one stop shop!

Perhaps the best smoked salmon on Planet Earth. I was with a salmon hater who loved it. I’m discerning, having had smoked salmon in the Pac NW and Alaska and this one beat them all.

Love this place. $ 4.99/lb for fresh crab and they even cook it for you. Fish selections are fresh and free samples of their homemade smoke salmon($ 24.99/lb). Yum! Oysters are also plenty but we didn’t bring our shucking tool and they were out so we had to settle for just crab and fish. 3 freshly cooked crabs for $ 30! How can you beat that? Next time I’m at Pismo I’ll be sure to spend my crab money here than at Cracked Crab.

Went here today because one of the restaurants on the pier is closed for remodeling. Very helpful and patient which is a plus! Great service and competitive pricing. Everything was so fresh and we actually took ours home to cook which was delicious. Will be doing this more often if possible! A much more affordable option for the college budgeted me.

You’d be hard pressed to find fresher seafood at a higher quality. Live oysters at $ 10 a dozen? Or you can just pay twice as much for freezer burnt seafood at any local supermarket. Highly Recommended!

I’ve been a satisfied customer of OPF for over 5 years. They offer the freshest, highest qualify seafood around and have great customer service. They opened up a new location on Grand Ave in Grover Beach last year which is a bit easier to access than the pier in Avila. Although I personally like ordering directly off their website( ) which offers free overnight delivery.

As a place to buy fish, Olde Port Fisheries is an OK place to buy them. However, while the prices aren’t cheap, at least the appearances of the cleaned and fileted fish look fresh. Take it home and cook it… and it’s not too bad.
