Noticed that the reviews here were for the restaurant and not for the Inn itself. Have to say that the restaurant was good, food was good and service was fun and cheerful(even though they had no clue what a Newcastle beer was at the bar… :sigh:). Atmosphere was kind of dark but might of been the back room we were seated in and the time of day. They were very accommodating for a last minute meal. Now as far as the Inn itself, definitely not what we thought it would be. Guess we should of expected this in a historic structure but the the creaking wavy floors and antique bathroom could of used a little TLC. Pretty aged room all around but the bed was comfy, even though we were finding things like champagne corks and wrappers under it. The staff disappeared at night and the next morning there was no one around, even bumped into another family of lost guests frantically asking how you check out of the place. Also the«self service breakfast room» is literally that, a shelf of opened cereal boxes, some old coffee makers(make it yourself if you can find everything), some scattered things like packets of oatmeal and an old fridge with a partial gallon of milk in it. Thankfully Peppermints is right down the road: O) Would recommend the restaurant but as far as the Inn, good for a tour but would drive many miles to not stay here again :O(

I had never heard of this place before, but was invited for brunch by my boyfriends family who had heard good things about it. First, the building itself. From the outside it looks a little run down, but what can one expect from a legit historical landmark. Walking in, is like walking into a time warp into the 50s-60s. The funky wallpaper in each of the rooms was something straight out of a grandmothers house. The same goes with the furniture. On your way to the dining area, they have their wedding hall of fame where there’s a ton of bride/groom photos of those who had their special days there. Some of them are pretty cool and it’s neat to see how things have changed over the years. We got there at about 11am on Sunday, and it wasn’t too crowded. There’s about 3 – 4 rooms for dining and they spread everything out pretty well. If you’re seated in the main room where the buffet is though, it can get pretty noisy/crowded on account of everyone lining up for their food. The service was pretty good, you could tell that the people working there had been doing so for awhile. They treat you like family. Our group was talking about how my birthday was coming up, I come back from the restroom to find a cupcake with a candle in it at my place. No one in our party had said a word to anyone working there, so they must’ve overheard and it was an awesome surprise. The food was also pretty good, it’s buffet style so arrive hungry. The highlight of the buffet, unlimited bacon. There’s mostly breakfast options, but they did also have some lunch choices such as soup and mac & cheese. There’s also a cold bar that includes fruit, pudding, and things of that nature. My only complaints: — The food wasn’t as hot as I would’ve liked, but that’s just something that happens at buffets I’ve noticed. — When it came time to pay our bill it took a little longer than we would have liked to actually get it done.

My soon-to-be sister-in-law’s bridal shower was held here. The room we were in was spacious and nice. There were many big windows letting sunshine in because we were lucky enough to have a gorgeous day. The Inn itself is beautiful. It brings to mind old Southern mansions and aging grace. The staff was very nice, attentive, and helpful. The brunch was buffet style and fantastic! There was fruit, oatmeal, these amazing French Toast sticks, biscuits, sausage gravy, home fries, macaroni & cheese, eggs Benedict, and more. Everything was great.

Service, food and ambience were all top notch! The wait staff who served us were cheerful, courteous and timely with refill and bringing out our courses. I love the atmosphere there with the«wedding hall of fame». Thursday night wing night and Sunday brunch are both excellent weekly specials. Full thumbs up for this place!
