Avon Quality Storage

Do not use this facility! I have had a unit there for 5 years, it has changed hands 2 or 3 times in that 5 years. They lost all my information and then charged me late fees becuse my auto payment couldn’t be processed. I now go to the facility to pay in person. Perfect right… Wrong, the door is always locked and there is never anyone in the office! There is a phone outside to call but it’s never answered. So on to phone payments, nope… you have to leave a massage and wait for them to call you back. REALLY! Now I’m trying to move out and have to give them a 15 day notice! Oh and I have late fees again. Why?!? Oh ya because I can’t get in there or get anyone to answer the phone so I can pay my bill!

I reserved a 10×10 storage room and received an email and a phone call confirmation. When I showed up the date I was suppose to I was told there was nothing reserved under my name! So I asked what was available they told me that there was nothing for the same price. If I wanted the same size it would be $ 40 a month more. That really didn’t make any sense to me seeing that I had a reservation set up. They should have given it to me at the same price… I’ve asked for there manager to call me but I’ve yet to hear anything from them… I am a very unhappy customer.

Boy R these pictures old. I know because I used this facility when they were taken 5 yrs ago. My mom (76) was moving in with me so most of her furniture was going in storage and we needed to store her off season clothes. Well we were offered either the use of a truck or 1 months rent discount. We opted for the truck. We arranged this a full month before the move date and paid for the first/​last month at this time. Luckily I called b4 I went for the truck (saturday am) It wasn’t returned yet. HUH? I was due back by noon or so? I had 6 people coming to move mom and no truck on a Saturday. It took me over 2 hours to find another truck and had to drive 40 miles to get to the rental place yes that means I had to pay for the 40 extra miles use. It was now 11 am and the «free» truck still wasn’t returned. So we moved mom and when we arrived at the facility at 2 pm still no «free» truck. Ok so what about the «free» months storage. OH NO you had the choice and we chose the truck it would be back for us to use on Monday. HMMM As we had moved already this was not going to work but my mom was getting upset so she said let it go.
Now to the present. I just called as I need a place to store some stuff for about 6 months or so. I was told the prices but. there is also a «$ 20 admin fee» charge for them to fill out the paperwork. HUH? Your going to charge me extra in addition to the monthly fee of over $ 100 to fill out your paperwork. Thats insane. Can you imagine going to buy a couch and have them say «oh and then $ 20 for me to sell it to you. or ok a Big Mac with fries and $ 1 more for the me to put it on the tray or in the bag. No you have to pay the extra $ 1 fee it is company policy.
This paperwork fee is «cost of doing business» get real. Accounting 101.
This must be a real sleazy operation if they charge you to do business with them. I have since found out they have homeless that store their stuff there and visit daily to change. They actually charge them, I found out, each time they visit a «cash fee» no receipt. If they don’t pay they are told they must get out!!! Must be another company policy.
So glad I found out before i chose them to store my stuff.
