Absolutely awful service. From the moment I walked in I was treated with a condescending attitude and impatient«service»(its a stretch to even call it that). After looking at a couple of bikes I was pressured to purchase in a very unprofessional manner. Needless to say, I will not be giving this place a dime and will spread the word to others in the area. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. I ended up going to Zane’s in Branford and had a great experience with friendly and attentive staff.

Best bike shop in the Farmington Valley and I’ve shopped at all of them. Matt is very patient, honest and responsive and I can’t say enough good things about every experience I’ve had there, including two bike purchases for my kids and multiple repairs on my bikes. Many of the other bike shops in the area have condescending staff who make you feel like you have to earn their attention as a new customer, and this place is the complete opposite. Highly recommended for bike purchase and expert repairs.

Worst service I have ever experienced in any shop. Today Sunday July 12, 2015 my friend and I stumbled upon this shop while on the Farmington canal trail during a 240 mile bike tour. Her wheel was out of true and before we even entered the store we were exposed to a passive aggressive attitude from the two staff. First they seemed upset that they had a crowd(of 4 — 2 other patrons were there) as they were opening the shop. Next we were told to leave our bikes outside unless they needed work – definitely a reasonable ask but one that could have been told while looking at us. The one positive thing about this shop is that the mechanics had two wonderful dogs but they seemed to be pissed off about us playing with them– guys, don’t bring your dog to work if you don’t want then being pet and given attention! Also when I asked a question about the dogs they didn’t even bother to respond. Then, we were rudely told that we were sitting in the way– again, we could have been asked nicely to move and it would have been no problem. We aren’t sure if these guys were rude to us because we are women or simply because they are just not nice but my friend felt upset enough to not patronize this shop. She ended up having to ride to another(much friendlier) bicycle shop 10 miles up the road on her wheel with rubbing break pads, but it was much better than being serviced by the mechanics at bikers edge in Avon. I hope the manager takes note of this and if he was one of the guys working there you need to seriously work on your customer service skills. You made us both feel so unwelcome.

Very attentive staff. Welcoming of all questions whether informed or novice. Both Matt and Chris helped my wife with many technical questions without an ounce of usual male knowitall attitude. Highly recommend this bike shop.
