China Garden

This is my favorite Chinese food place. We’ve tried other places, and they just can’t beat China Garden. They’re fast, prices are very good with the quantity of food. Love this place.

We usually get take out two times a month. When you call in an order it’s always 15 minutes. The food is always good and the guys are funny.

I live nearby and have been looking for a go-​to Chinese take-​out spot in the area since I moved here from the city a couple years ago. I had been happy with New Four Seasons II in Honeoye Falls until stumbling upon this gem a few weeks back. After now having gotten take-​out from here 3 times, I can certify this place as AWESOME, a clear improvement over the local competition and on par with places in the city.
The help is very friendly, with excellent english skills. Everyone knows the helpless feeling of placing a Chinese take-​out order over the phone, no worries here, have had perfect order accuracy and no language barrier whatsoever. When picking up my orders the staff is always quite friendly.
The food is GREAT, I would go so far as to say it is as good as any sit-​down Chinese restaurant I have been to, at a fraction of the price. The best way to describe the flavor here is clean. There are no mystery spices or textures in their food, its simple and delicious. Highlights for me to date are the shrimp dishes, giant pieces of shrimp that are savory and never dry or crusty.
Also, their american style fried chicken wings are incredible. I actually watched the cook prepare them for me last time and after frying them initially they are pressed against a hot plate to create a flaky, almost wafering coating on the outside, delicious!
Portions are immense, I know that is pretty standard for a Chinese take-​out joint but these guys take it to the next level. This is no lie, one standard dinner and some wings offers me 3 meals. For ~$ 15 that is unheard of even by fast food standards.
I located this place online, otherwise I would’ve never known they existed as they are tucked into the nearly abandoned plaza behind Tom Wahls in Avon. The location is really the only downside I can think of, overall I am quite happy to have found a more than serviceable Chinese place in Livingston County, strongly recommend!
