One of these stores is not like the others; not all Marshall’s are created equal. This one happens to be the best one I’ve been to in Connecticut — way better than Plainville, Hartford, even Old Saybrook. Yesterday I popped in hoping to find a new pair of athletic shoes(aka sneakers) and while I didn’t find ones I wanted, I found so many other things! Like Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps which is the only soap I’ve showered with for years. I happened to need another bottle and it was a dollar less than Whole Foods sells it for, and there was a good variety! In fact, they have an impressive variety of natural brands. In addition, picked up shampoo and conditioner made by alba Botania that is also sold at Whole Foods but for a whopping $ 5 more per bottle. Awesome! I also left with a sports bra, a yoga mat, and workout warm-up all for a great price. Organization and selection seems to be better at this Marshalls than the others, but beware of parking lot madness on the weekend. If you see a woman in a maroon Kia SUV with dark hair and olive skin please say some unkind words to her for me for rudely taking the parking spot I had waited and signaled for. Like school on a Sunday(no class).

I love Marshall’s and TJ Maxx — I was reared at their bedside. I would likely give the whole franchise 5 stars if I could. Hell, not just likely, I definitely would. I have bought 3 really awesome dresses at this particular Marshall’s in the past 4 days and they were reasonably priced and lovely. But what really makes this Marshall’s stand out is their exceptional customer service. I came today looking for a dress I had tried on 2 days ago, and both the woman working at the dressing room and another employee listened to me describe it, then systematically helped me to tackle the departments and uncover the garment. Which I am wearing as I type. MARSHALL’S SUCCESSSTORY!

I’m only giving this place three stars today because I actually came out with some fab finds! I typically choose TJ Maxx over Marshall’s because Marshall’s is always so chaotic and everything is just thrown on to the racks and shelves. There’s really no rhyme or reason to this place but if you have the patience and feel like digging through loads of mixed matched racks, this is your place!

weird. all i heard was people saying they had nothing good today and they had to go to TJ Maxx down the street. found some decent stuff here. There was a group of men in the womens shoe aisle trying on womens shoes. a decent Marshalls if you are looking for a discount. Home goods section was reasonably sized here too.
