I was impressed with this place from the beginning. The appt was very easy to schedule online, and they also provided a helpful calendar so that I could schedule at a time in my pregnancy that was prime for viewing baby’s face. Once we arrived, we could see it was basically a one-man show. Santana greeted us, helped us with the paperwork, then immediately took us back into the ultrasound room. They have a nice(private) and rather large room set up with an L-shaped sectional couch(to bring the family along for viewing if you like) with a twin bed for mom to lay on. All of that faces a huge screen where he projects the live images of your little one. He was very patient with us, even though we had multiple difficulties seeing baby’s face(the placenta and his hands kept interfering with our perfect picture). In fact, he even invited us to come back a few weeks after the first viewing(free of charge) since our photos didn’t turn out the best. We are glad we went back but once again had difficulties getting our perfect picture. That is one thing to keep in mind when you book this appt — not all babies are cooperative and your photos may not come out nearly as good as some of the ones that they show on their website. But overall, if you are willing to gamble and spend the $ 150 – 200, this is definitely a great place to come to!

Yes, I fell into the trap and decided I had to have a 4D ultrasound once I hit the 30-week mark in my pregnancy. It was pretty much non-negotiable. We’ll blame the hormones. My husband, who expressed that this sort of thing is like sneaking a look at your Christmas presents the month before, sucked it up and drove us an hour and 45 minutes to Avon(because the closer clinic, in Castleton, needed some serious work on its customer service) to Precious Peek one Saturday in December. I was very impressed from start to finish with this place. When I called, I planned on making an appointment for the following weekend. However, the guy who answered the phone(who is also the person who performs the ultrasound) offered to fit me in that afternoon. He was very friendly and personable, even after we arrived late after making a wrong turn(word to the wise: it’s in the little strip across Dan Jones Road from Lowe’s). The dimly-lit ultrasound room is huge… there’s a gigantic sectional where, if you were so inclined, you could invite the whole fam damnily to sit and watch the proceedings. Instead of a hospital bed, I got to climb into this modified jumbo-sized twin bed that was super comfortable. There’s soft music playing in the background and you get to watch the whole thing on a giant screen right in front of you(instead of craning your neck around to look at a tiny computer screen like at the doctor’s office). And because our little guy was being a little uncooperative(and possibly because there were no other appointments immediately after us), the tech-dude extended our time to what seemed much longer than the 15 minutes we signed up for. Now for the negative part, which really isn’t because you’re aware up front: this doesn’t come cheap. $ 150 got us a DVD, one color picture and several black and white pictures(I believe this was the«Mini-Peek» package). However, I never felt like it wasn’t worth it, especially since the 4D ultrasound given at our last doctor’s appointment was only about three minutes long and the only thing we could really see was our baby’s nose. Also, Precious Peek offers $ 10 off discounts during the week and to firefighter, military and law enforcement personnel. To my knowledge, there is only one other 4D ultrasound service available in the Indianapolis area, but I’d highly recommend this one, regardless of what side of town you live on.
