Sun & Ski

i couldn’t agree more with the first person to give a review about this place. i’ve bought my fair share of gear here in the past and yes they do carry a good amount of gear and apparel, i’ll give them that. but in the last year the service has been declining. every time i enter this place i feel eyes on me with every step i take. i think i had all of the floor sales persons come up to me asking me if i needed help within the first 10 seconds i was in the store… overwhelming much??. one sales person even had a hard time reciting their sales policy to me. and when i did ask questions about what they sell in their store they were basically clueless. you’re gonna love this— i was there one day with my wife and some friends trying to do some homework on the latest skis, boots, etc and a bunch of sales persons that assisted us gave us all of this info about what skis were good for us and what boots would fit us perfect, also 2 of the sales men mentioned that they were certified equip. techs and boot fitters… well to make a long story short i overheard some of them talking about looking forward to going out west and i asked if they skied to make small talk, well all of them replied, «nah dude we ride» they also joked that they’ve never skied a day in their lives… so you mean to tell me the ppl that were giving us all of this info about skis, boots binding, and service have absolutely never been on a pair of skis themselves ! that’s ridiculous !.. even when i got my skis serviced in the past the edges looked like they weren’t even grinded and the wax job i got was very very basic, not what i paid for. and i’ll never bring my skis back here again. bottom line is i would only shop here for gear or apparel that i know of because the selection is pretty decent. but as for things you don’t know about, they probably won’t know about either. i would also not recommend this place to fit your boots or do any kind of ski service either. the employee’s here just do not have the experience and knowledge to give you confidence in them.
